“quite impressed”

I was deeply impressed by the honesty of the staff in this hotel. After having left dubai to my distination, I remembered that I had forgotten more than $13000 in the safe of my room. I called the hotel and informed them. They handled the matter in a very professional way till I was able to retreive the money. That was really great. Besides, the hotel is centrally located at 3 minutes walk to Deira City Centre and the metro station. Its indeed good value for money

Although still moderately expensive by New Zealand standards, we did think (by comparison) that the studio apartment was good value for money. The front desk staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Check-in was a breeze, even though we were hours earlier than check-in time. The room had an unusual smell when you first entered but you never noticed it once in the room. They offered for us to check the room prior to occupation and to move us when we first commented on the smell. We remained. The standard of cleaniness was very good and there was no noise, from either inside or outside (even next to a construction site). The concierge was helpful and friendly, but clearly had specific tours he pushed. Brochures for appliances did not relate the appliance so some difficulty with operation. A couple of small maintenance issues were quickly sorted. Located in Deira but very handy to huge shopping mall, the Creek, marketplaces, airport, and the Big Bus Company route. We felt welcome and manager and staff were always willing to greet us and answer any queries.

“Not worth the money.”

The hotel itself is not terrible, however there are much nicer hotels available for the money. My room was on an upper floor which was very hot. Construction nearby caused noise throughout the night. The pool area was dirty and there were no towels available. The spa/fitness center was not open. The biggest complaint I have is that upon checkout the staff would not provide me with a receipt. I was rudely told that it was none of my business and that they did not need to provide a receipt. I would definitely never stay here again, nor would I recommend it to others.
