Recently returned after a business trip to Dubai attending an exhibition at the World Trade Centre. The location of the hotel is ideal with only a 15 minute walk to the Trade Centre. I opted for an executive room as the booking also included internet access. The room was very clean & comfortable with a huge TV, although the addition of a DVD player would have been useful. There was plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet and the staff were very attentive. I ate at Ruth Chris's steak house located within the hotel, which was excellent. The staff at the health club were great especially the pool attendant who supplied regular bottles of water, very much appreciated in temperatures of 40+. Overall a very pleasurable stay and a great hotel.

“Monarch Hotel”

The hotel is excellent, modern, well kept and in an prime location for business users. I had asked for a non smoking room and found the suite I was given had not been properly cleaned and had a cigarette packet sitting on a cupboard in the lounge room. I asked to be moved and was immediately and apologetically re-accommodated to a vast beautifully appointed suite. My three night experience was marred only by noisy neighbours revelling until 5am! Two nights in a row. Not the hotel's fault. Breakfast was included in my tarriff and was amongst the best I've had with made to order omelettes available alongside the extensive and diverse offerings. Waiter service was inconspicuous but efficient, thoroughly enjoyable way to start the day. The gym and spa facilities were also top notch. I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly

For business pirpose, i had four guests and four rooms. one thing to say: my guests were highly impressed. I will try to get a contract with the hotel for future stays on god willing.

“Pretty nice, but...”

Hotel was clean, service was good, on site restaurants were good and quite hip; weekend visits to the Japanese restaurant is difficult as it turns into a hip bar/lounge with a velvet rope and bouncer. Also, I loved the size of the room and all that it had to offer, but some things about the room layout bugged me. For instance, the bath tub doesn't have a hand held shower. The shower head is located next to the tub so that if you just want to take a shower it turns the whole space into a wet room. There were no controls near the bed to turn off the main lights in the room and bathroom; they are by the door. The lights/TV/etc don't go off when you remove the door key card on exiting the room.
