“Wonderful hotel stay.”

Had a really great time staying at this hotel - a lovely room with an amazingly large and comfortable bed. The room was kept immaculately clean and we would get a call to make sure we were happy with the room cleaning every day! You had a good option of beach or infinity pool and you could pick up loungers, water and towels everyday to go down to the beach (there were no extra charges for this). The facilities could not be faulted, nor could the attentiveness of the staff who were extremely polite and helpful at all times without being overly so. The location of the hotel was great being on the beach front with great views onto the arabian gulf and the palm (seeing the atlantis hotel in the distance). Travelling about was easy with a choice of taxis, shuttle buses or direct pick ups for organised trips. There were a great variety of restaurants around the hotel so you would not have to travel too far to get a good meal. The fact that the hotel was so nice made the holiday for me from a good one to a great one.

The staff at the hotel were superbly well mannered and helpful at all times. They were always eager to assist without pestering for rewards (tips). I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.

“Excellent Hotel, great location, just no private beach”

The hotel is new and absolutely wonderful - very well designed room. I imagine it is a nicer hotel than the price comparison with a few others next to it because it does not have its own private beach. You walk across the street (past the cute shops and restaurants) to the public beach - same distance as other hotels, just public and no food service (and not quite as tranquil). I stayed at another hotel the next night so could compare well. Again, a beautiful hotel, though not a resort.

The hotel is awesome with fantastic views. Make sure you request a front facing room for the best view. Highly recommend.

stayed Mar 2011, great weather, around 30 degrees, daily sun, nice breeze, no humidity and no bugs!Location terriffic,beside lovely long sandy beach, hotel has a lovely pool, rooms have all the extras and include electric kettle and robes.Very clean. One negative is that the elevator is slow. Another problem is that many flights arrive in the early a.m. and one cannot get access to the room until later in the day. We waited for 2 hours and them became impatient and complained so we were given an upgrade room overlooking the beach! tips :buy liquor duty free at the airport, allowed 4 litres perperson, difficult to get alcohol(except in hotels wherein it is expensive)no liquor stores, no wine in supermarkets, have to have a special license to get liquor and lots of money. Eating out is expensive, but there is a supermarket behind the hotel and you can buy fresh warm croissants for breakfast and baguettes and cheese for lunch. For dinneer there are lots of restaurants along the WALK.

Best kept secret in Dubai. The Sofitel seems like a new hotel and was not as well known as other 5 star hotels but was as good if not better. Wonderful location across from the beach and overlooking the promenade at The Walk. Room was of very high quality and so was the staff. Would definitely stay at again and recommend.

“Quality and Comfort”

This well situated, clean and comfortable hotel was the perfect base for our 4 day trip to Dubai. This was the 5th time I'd been to Dubai but my girlfriend's first time and so we were both keen to relax in comfort and enjoy the break - especially after the journey. The Sofitel staff were extremely accomodating, the quality of the service and food was exceptional and the location of the hotel was perfect for any beach lover! The room was excellent - very clean and presented us with an outstanding view over the beach and the Persian Gulf. We would most definitely return to the hotel, having been spoilt rotten by the staff during our stay. Thank you Sofitel Dubai!
