“The Sheraton Hotel chain continues to be the hotel of choice for myself and family wherever we trav.”

same service wherever you may travel ... always first class with not over attentative but very professional staff. it is not overpowering but lends itself to a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

“Solid value”

Not quite up to five stars, but good value for the money. The best feature is the private beach and the gardens, which other, more expensive hotels in Dubai don't have.

“Not Impressed”

Water in shower is barely working (very weak flow) and temperature inconsistent Internet not working properly, could not sign in once in two days, and no follow-up from hotel although I complained couple of times. Hotel services, including food, is unreasonably priced although hotel is surrounded by hundreds of restaurants

“It has better days!”

The only thing going for this hotel is its location. It has the beach on one side, and the JBR Walk on the other. Apart from that the hotel offers virtualy nothing. The rooms are old and bland, food is mediocare, and the service is not at par with what Dubai offers. There are other hotels in the area which offer a similler, if not better, location, but with far better service, and much newer rooms. Choose those. I used to stay at this hotel when it was the only one on the beach. That was over ten years ago. Back then it was beautiful. Now it's not.

Area recommendations

For holidays I recommend this area: Jumairah. I also recommend the new Downtown area nead Burj Khalifa. For somewhere near the airport I recommend Festival City.

“Great hotel, but please refurb the bathrooms!”

Great location in Jumeirah on the Marina Walk a few minutes walk from cafes & restaurants. The private beach is excellent as are the hotel grounds. Nice grassy area to sunbathe on if you don't like sand. Pool area is pretty nice and had a swim up bar. The room was a decent size and well equiped. The bathroom was a disappointment. The shower was poor - low pressure and the shower curtain had seen better days. The only other nagative would be the TV. Not many english speaking channels (only 2!) & sports channels compared to other Dubai hotels I've stayed in.

Area recommendations

Dubai is a lot larger than I expected so make sure you do your research when choosing your hotel location. My favourite area is Downtown Dubai - near to the Burj Khalifa & Dubai Mall. Downtown is also quite central so taxi fares to Airport/Jumeirah/Creek are quite reasonable. Al Manzil is a great hotel in Downtown. 4-star, but beats many 5-stars on service & style.

“Will return when possible”

The Sheraton was more than I expected. It was very clean and everyone was super friendly and helpful. The beach and pool guys were the best!

Area recommendations

All the areas around Dubai are fun to explore. The Madinat Shopping Center is amazing to visit, beautiful waterways and plenty of places to shop and eat. The Dubai Mall is a must see.

Getting there

You can use the metro rail system to get most places. It is very clean and cheap and easy to use.

“FIRST CLASS EXPERIENCE”

The entire team of hotel staff were extremely professional and friendly at all times. The resort is enhanced with beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens and offers direct beach access. The swimming pools are sizeable. The bar and dining venues are also quite accommodating. We were fortunate enough to have access to dining and bar facilities on the top floor which included a free nightly happy hour. This was one of the venues which also served breakfast. The Grill restaurant offers fine dining. The Palms dining area and Moods bar on the ground floor are both quality venues. The hotel also comprises a small number of shops as well as a gymnasium etc. A "kid's club" is also available. There are many restaurants within walking distance as well as some shopping. A shuttle services the resort half hourly (I think) to take passengers to the Dubai hop on - hop off bus. Given similar circumstances, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when next in Dubai. Our Sheraton Jumeirah Resort experience was genuinely first class.
