“Fantastic”

Stunned by this impressive hotel and helpful staff. Amazing views, breakfast buffet,outdoor pool,spa,huge hi-tech gym. It's mainly a business hotel so we were the only ones by the pool most of the time. There's Nandos, KFC, Pizza Hut and a highly recommended Chinese Restaurant steps away from the hotel entrance.

Luxurious hotel. Nicely decorated and clean. Good selection of cuisine/restaurants within the hotel. Central location to beach, shopping and city life.

Hotel is on the main Sheik Ziad road. Staff were extremely courteous and always very helpful.Only there a week and I was on 1st name terms. Hotel facilities excellent, pool gym, massage, breakfast,restaurant all excellent. I recommend upgraded room for more personal service and extra facilities. Meals excellent. Guests in the hotel were mainly business people so for a beach type holiday I would recommend Jumeria beach hotel. Travel everywhere by taxi at cheap rates.

“A top international hotel in a great location”

Had a great week's stay in this luxury hotel, conveniently located on the Sheikh Zayed Road. The rooms, as you would expect, are spacious and superbly appointed, and the restaurants and bars equally of a high standard. Chilling out by the pool for a couple of half days was a perfect antedote for the mid-40s temperature and again, the service was top class. The only glitch was a mis-communication of a beach shuttle transfer that spoilt a planned early evening sunset watch. Otherwise, all good. Highly recommended.

Excellant Hotel

“As usual a shining example of an outstanding Shangri-La hotel”

We stayed at the Shangri-La last year in Muscat and that is why we chose it is Dubai, this was every bit as good as we had hoped it would be. The staff and facilities are FANTASTIC, comfort and luxury everywhere you look, we can't recommend this hotel enough. We really can't wait to stay in the next Shangri-La

“Great way to relax in Dubai”

As this was my first trip to Dubai this was an excellent choice. Would recommend it highly . The staff are polite ,efficient and friendly. The hotel has fantastic views from the top floor, on a clear day you can see for miles. There are number of restaurants in the hotel. Tried two , the Marrakech Moroccan is very authentic with live music and the food is gorgeous. The facilities are very good , tried the sauna and spa pools and the in-house massage HF facilities. Bumped into Steve Tyler of Aerosmith going into the gym as they were playing a gig in May 07. Will definitely be going back and cannot recommend it highly enough, a veritable 5 Star hotel in every sense of the word.

First time staying in this hotel chain, but it will definitely not be the last. Extremely well trained staff.
