“Just an average okay hotel that is a little bit dated”
Like its sister hotel on Sheikh Zahid Road (SZR) - this hotel could also do with a facelift - the carpets in the room and hallway are a little dated. The hotel staff is good and efficient. There is a connected convenience store that would make it easy to stock up on munchies as well as toileteries (sp?) - overall an okay hotel - good for what you might have paid (hopefully not too much) and not worth writing to home about.
“location ideal for us . You see some of the old dubai down by the creek”
hotel service outstanding with frendly staff
“would stay again, very very impressed with everything.”
Upon arrival, met by night manager and upgraded, he was very helpful went through everything, staff, room, meals, everything was excellent, would stay again and recommend to others.
“Nothing Worked”
I arrived and was greeted with open arms. Entered the room and found A/C was on but room was warm. I located the hotel cleaning personnel and he came in and made the necessary adjustments. I heard the fan turn on and felt it was okay, but would take a few minutes to cool the room. The hotel has one hour complement internet connection, which can up; but could never open a message in my room. Returned to the front desk and reported the slow internet connection. Desk clerk allowed me to use the Business office computer for 15 mins. to get message out. Returned to my room 10 hrs later and found the room was just cool, but not cold. Made another adjustment to the fan control and again heard the fan turn on. When to bed and woke up, because the room was hot. By now its 0300 am and my wake up call was at 0500, went back to sleep. Reported the incident to the front desk at 0600 AM and manager tried to tell me it was my fault for not reporting INOP A/C when I check in. Don't stay at this place, found another room occupant that said the same thing.
“Metropolitan Palace, Its a Palace!”
This Hotel is very close to public transport, such as Metro Line, Buses. A great place to stay while visiting all the sites in Dubai. It is about half an hour taxi ride to Jumeirah area, such as Palm Island or Jumeirah Beach. The team members was very helpfull, especially the concierge. I stayed there for 6nights & enjoyed every single of it. You must visit Burj Al Arab & Palm Atlantis, I highly recommend it. Abu Dhabi is not far at all, only takes 1.5hr by taxi and it's a reasonable price as well. Enjoy Dubai!
“Most Impressed”
Stayed 2 nights and found hotel, room, restaurants and staff very good. We stayed in an Executive suite that was very reasonably priced and came with all the extras. Pool on the 11th floor was very inviting and refreshing during the hot days. Room service was prompt and food was fresh and very tasty. There was also a complimentary fruit basket delivered to the door. Hotel decor was beautiful with huge chandeliers on the 2nd floor and a large formal staircase in the foyer. We will stay at the Metropolitan Palace the next time we visit Dubai.
“Good location to rich interesting things in Dubai”
Nice bussines hotel, internet is not free, personal is ok.
“Good Hotel for Touring”
Good Hotel for touring Dubai, room was clean although shower tray after a few days a bit grubby. At pool area ladies showers etc need upgrading. Cant use Skype at hotel as service not available, but can use in most coffee shops/malls. Free internet daily in Business Centre, check times before using as inconsistent information from staff. Although Staff very friendly and helpfull. we used supermarket at back of hotel as advised by other users on Expedia Hotel transport from Airport was 90dhs great service.
“A True Oasis”
Tight street entrance may be inconvenient and possibly a security risk. Once inside, it truly is amazing and spacious. Room amenities are excellent. Will definitely hope my company books me here again.
“Very Convenient”
This is a business hotel, well situated for access to offices downtown, but access to DIFC, the beach and shopping centres is also easy. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and only a few minutes from the airport, so if you arrive late at night (as I did) you don't have a long journey before you can get your head down. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient.
