“really nice location and price”
clean and really good location
“Great Value for the Money”
Having never been to Dubai, it was quite a tough challenge trying to figure out where to stay on a tight budget. I needed a place within reasonable distance to the DIFC. A friend suggested IBIS World Trade centre prices seemed reasonable. It really is a very nice hotel, very modern lobby area plus a great bar. I had 2 issues at this hotel: 1. The check-in process took almost an hour, was 11pm just came from the airport, a long day of flying and it takes that long to get a room. Not only that they try to put me in smoking room when my reservation clearly said non-smoking. I thought the person checking me in was joking I clearly told him there was no way I am staying in a smoking room. He then checks me in hands me a key and say "by the way this is a smoking room". I told him no way am i collecting that key and ask for the manager, the manager showed up and thank goodness for him gave me a non-smoking room. 2. when I checked out I left my charger to my camera in the room, called the hotel 5 times to explain how important the item was and the so-called lost and found told me they did not find anything. i asked if they checked the room he said yes. I told them I was not having that .and that if they threw my charger away I was going to file a complaint with the Hotel management. He tells call back in 10 minutes, I do and then he says oh we found it. It is a real shame when you have to threaten hotels to get anything done. Apart from those 2 hiccups I had a great stay there.
“Book with your eyes open”
The Hotel was close to where I needed to be (not actually the World Trade Centre) but might be perfect if you were at a conference and didn't have to leave the vacinity, However the rooms are just big enough to swing a cat, and its nearly impossible to get a taxi outside. There are better hotels in the neighbourhood at slightly higher rates.
