“Great break”
Fantastic hotel and location - wish I was still there
“Very large suites and big, comfy beds”
As usual, Expedia made our trip trouble free, with a very easy booking system. The hotel has really large suites and it makes a great base for the Dubai Marina. This was our second visit. The one change since our last visit to this hotel is the building of a 'twisty' skyscraper next door. It blocks the sun for part of the afternoon during the autumn and impacts on the warmth of the pool. It may be different earlier in the year. The hotel itself has excellent customer service and some nice spa treatments.
“Excellent accomodation but not as good as it was when under previous management.”
Arrived at the hotel and was cheerfully met at the reception. Had asked for early check-in and despite landing there at 7 am was checked in straightaway. But on this occasion no cold drinks on arrival! Facilities at this hotel was as good as ever (this is our second visit). Good things: professional check-in; enthusistic staff; nothing is too difficult for them! an excellent accomodation. Not so good: there is no access to the lounge and beach at Le Royal Meridien; nowadays they are bussing people to the public Jumeriah beach. Luckily I had printed the hotel details from expedia that told us of the access to the private beach (last time when this hotel was under a different management access to the private beach was provided). The hotel immediately arranged for our access to the beach at Le Royal Meridien with transport too! Problem with internet connection but was fixed in a day (beware it is expensive).
“A Nice Place to Stay”
We were booked into a junior suite and were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment with magnificent views over the marina. Services within the hotel were very good to excellent. The food was good. Adaptor plug was available from reception. The bed, which was a king sized bed, was extremely comfortable with excellent pillows. Meals are available at the hotel 24 hours a day and they are reasonably priced. A short walk from the hotel (which also has the sign “The Marriott” on the hotel), about 200 metres, is a supermarket where you can buy fruit, vegetables and the general lines available in Coles or Woolworths, and also several restaurants which border the marina. Prices are a little bit high. Wine is exceedingly expensive; for example, just the Yellowtail red wine, which is available in Australia for, say, AUD $9 a bottle, would cost probably about AED$40 were you to buy it at a restaurant. A can or stubby of beer is about AUD $10.
“A great experience”
An excellent hotel, and would recomend it to anyone.Great views of the marina.
“Hotel Accomodations”
This was a very nice hotel located on the Marina. The rooms are very spacious, large kitchen, living room, bathrooms. Great accomodation for people with children. Walking distance to the bus stop (5 mins), close to local grocery mart and several resteraunts within the plaza. Staff are very courteous and helpful at assisting you with directions to your destination. Business center has about 3 computers with Internet access. Although not very convenient hours-first 5 mins free and then its about 25 dirhams for each 30 minutes. don't eat the snacks in your room as it will cost you a fortune. Overall, this was a nice place to stay and I would definitely stay here again. It's a little far -5 miles or so from Mall of the Emirates-so a cab could end up costing you. I recommend taking the bus to get around town-very easy and yoiu get to sight see.
“Definately will stay again!”
The harbour hotel was an excellent place to start out trip in dubai. It is very central to almost all the sights in Dubai, or a short taxt ride away from them. Staff are very friendly and are willing to do anythign to make you happy. Pool is nice to lay by if you dont want to brave the crowds at the beach, plus the water is cooler as well. Room was absolutely amazing, a lot of room but was still perfect. Recommend for a family of 4 to get the 2 bedroom suite, as it has 2 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and an extra bed plus a large couch if you need more sleeping space. Buy food and drinks because there is a kitchen and eating at the restaurants gets very expensive, and its too easy as they just charge your room. Would definately come back!!
“Excellent 5 Star Hotel”
This was a great hotel and i would recommend to any visitor to Dubai. When we got there they upgraded us to a two bedroom suite, however i later found out that they only do this beacause they do not have enough one bedroom suites. There is alot of building work going on around the hotel but this didn't distract us as our room was not facing in that direction. Good free shuttle service to the Beach, Madinat Souk and Mall of the Emirates. They replace towels twice a day and have good breakfast.
“confortabal for family”
i wish to be in a lower floor
“What real stars mean”
We hadn't had this wonderful of an experience in a long time. The staff were superb. All the services never had to be asked for. The breakfast was incredible. The beach available at Royal Merridian inclusive at Harbour hotel is definitely a must. Our suite upgrade was the best part. we didn't know what to do with the extra space. Our only negative was the SPA. It was an absolute rip off for the services provided. We chose the best "full treatment" that was supposed to be inclusive of a massage but it was only an unprofessional cream rub. Definitely don't waste your money on any treatment. Other than that though, this place is a must go again for us.
