“Best kept secret in Dubai”
Highly recommended for individual travellers who are not afraid of exploring Dubai on their own by Taxi or rental car. Facilities are moderate for Dubai standards, but staff friendliness and location are perfect in every respect.
“ideal business hotel”
i have travelled to Dubai many times on business and would say that this hotel is ideal for this purpose. i would not use this hotel for my family holiday as the beach area is to small and the pool space is over crowded.
“Very Nice”
The hotel is very nice, hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Only thing I didn't like was the smell of sewer gases coming from the bathroom. I had to close the tolet seat lid and sinks.
“Not a 5 star, but not bad”
I would not consider this a 5 star hotel in comparison to other 5 stars in Dubai. Hotel was in a convenient location, cheap taxi ride from The Dubai Mall. Small private beach, nice pools, room was nice although not as updated as other 5 stars in the area. Got a Thai Massage at the Aroma Spa and it was the best massage I have had yet! Italian restaurant on site was very pricey for quality and quantity of food we got. Loco is great restaurant and bar. The Cuban restaurant was amazing as well with a great view. Room service took at least 30-45 min regardless of time of day. Staff was nice. Will return if I can find another price deal on Expedia.
“Decent place but overpriced”
Stayed at the dubai marine and beach resort for one week in June 2011. The hotel itself is nice and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. The largest draw of being here was the beach access but I found it be rather small. The restaurants located in the hotel were decent but for the price of the meals the food wasn't that great (with the exception of the Thai restaurant). There were several night clubs located on premises but some didn't seem to care for hotel patrons to visit them (namely: Budior). All and all I wouldn't recommend this place based on the fact you can get a nicer place with more amenities cheaper throughout Dubai.
“not a 5 star hotel”
we get there around 11 pm and the hotel srounded by night clubs so it was alot of people waiting to park there car and it takes an hour to park our car. the hotel is too old and we checked out after 20 min from the checking time to another hotel (it will be nice hotel if they mention that its 3 or 4 stars hotel)
“Jungle paradise with top-notch eateries”
I love this place, have been there numerous times. Basically, a cluster of newly-built bungalos amidst dense jungle-like village right on the beach. A real striking alternative & sharp contrast to the desert environment of UAE.
“Exactly as expected for a 5* - Fantastic hotel and more than helpful staff”
Fantastic hotel. very clean and friendly. The staff could not do enough for you. Fab pools and beach and really nice restaurants & Bars
“Don't give this hotel a trial in order not to regret, I booked 5 nights, checked out first day”
The hotel is very old building, rooms are as small as 3x3 sqm If you try to order something from the room service, make sure to call them every 10 minutes in order to receive your order after 1 hour. The room and bathroom are not maintain and not cleaned well, you will not feel comfortable to sleep on the bed or safely use the bathroom. The beach is very small, it;s like a swimming pool no more.
“Old hotel, good nightlife”
The hotel is about 20 years old and doesn't live up to the expectations I had for a 5 star Dubai hotel. The rooms were quite small and some of them were even located slightly below ground level, which does not give much daylight into the room. There are nice restaurants and poular night clubs on the hotel premises. Check in and check out were very slow affairs (20 minutes).
