“Great Value for Money”
Good friendly staff, great breakfast options and a very good Spa
“Location,Location,Location”
Dubai is a City of extremes. If you chose to go to one of the brash extreme hotels in JBR or other fashionable district you will miss the soul of the place. The A C & S is ideally placed. Within walking distance of so many of the true Dubai treats. Mosques, the Dubai Museum, Dubai Creek a rocky crossing on an Abbra and the souk. All would be missed without a stay here.It seems unlikely that if you have a private beach, good restaurants and are near a mall, that is Dubai. It isn't. From A C & S you have the best of both. Buy cheaply in the souk, barter hard and walk away if you are not satisfied.Constant offers of cheap Rolex, to carpets can be a challenge, but a polite thank you and walking on soon deal with the approaches. The hotel has great restaurants, the Chinese/Thai being supurb. The staff were kind and helpful and the food oustanding, even in this City. The pool though small is good for a cooling dip and the bar menu sufficient for the mid day snack.Well provided gym and helpful trainers. In fact everyone from the Arabian Doorman,(get a photo he loves it!) to the Phillipino cleaners are all a delight. The Sherlock Holmes bar with live music is a good start for the evening and is still open for a night cap , as long as it's before 0300hrs. Worth considering whatever your budget. The location, location yes location is not to be missed.
“Great Value For Money Family Hotel”
This is a great value for money hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It is located in front of the Dubai Museum right by the Dubai Creek, walking distance to the souks. Hotel offers free valet parking so we had no problems finding a parking spot. There are supermarkets and laundry facilities nearby for any amenities required. Only improvement point could be the availability of free internet with higher speed (ours kept on cutting off). The hotel is not brand new, and it does not have the look and feel of a business type hotel. It is more of a family/couple oriented four star lodging facility. Great music band downstairs at the pub on a nightly basis. We will definitely go back.
“Great location, across the road from Dubai Museum in Bur Dubai!”
Arabian Courtyard is an ideal choice if you want city based hotel, just a short stroll through the Souk to the Abra station on the Creek, hotel rooms very comfortable, I stayed in executive room on 7th floor with a lovely view of Dubai Museum and Creek, the extras included Executive Lounge where breakfast could be enjoyed quietly instead of in the main restaurant, the executive lounge is open thro, ughout the day, to enjoy a relaxing coffee/juice, happy hour commenced at 6.30pm-8.30pm, canapes/nibbles to enjoy with well deserved drink or two! the staff were always helpful be it the wonderful colourful doorman in his beautiful uniform, or reception /room service or pool spa staff There is a nice small pool with sundeck, nice changing rooms spa with hairdressers, had a wash and blowdry twice cost 150DHS (approx €30)Hotel room comfortable, bathroom quiet small, but everything worked ok! I would recommend Arabian Courtyard if you want to be near Dubai Creek/City, there is a shuttlebus to the beach each day leaves hotel 09.45 returns 1.45pm, beach towels/mats are available at pool reception desk! Expedia are always the cheapest and best value expecially with if you want to upgrade to executive room!
“Would definitely stay there again”
Despite the hard bed the hotel was very good. Many minarets in the area but the sound insulation in the room was so good that we never disturbed by the calls to prayer. It is well placed for exploring the Creek area and Deira City, less than 10 minutes walk to the Metro, very close to Dubai museum and only 10 minutes from the airport. The Silk Route restaurant provided very good Chinese and Thai food. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return there.
“A unique piece of history in an historical neighborhood”
We stayed at this hotel as a transition point from another hotel to going on to our very late flight back to the U.S. that evening. Our room was on the fourth floor facing the Dubai Fort and Museum. It was a beautiful view, albeit a bit noisy with the calls to prayer from the nearby mosque and the very heavy traffic. But this is a very interesting section of Dubai, with lots of shops and restaurants. The decor of the lobby and the room seemed more authentic than the other hotels we stayed at and visted. But there were trade offs. The pool was small and the sauna area very outdated. But we have an iron, robes and slippers in the room, which we did not have at our other Dubai hotel. There is a spa, but we did not have time to investigate. Figuring out the lighting in the room took a few minutes and the bathroom was a bit outdated, but very clean. We were given a basket of fruit as a welcome gift, which I thought was a nice touch. Without a taxi, this hotel is a little out of the way from the nearest metro train station. The cab ride to the airport was about 50 AED, but we were in heavy traffic so this may be higher than normal - but from our observations traffic is always bad in Dubai. The Thai/Chinese restaurant in this hotel is absolutely outstanding and reasonably priced. The food is wonderful, the decor beautiful, and the service even better. The restaurant alone is worth staying here again and the rates are very reasonable for Dubai.
“A Jewel”
Staff were extremely helpful and Friendly. Location was great.
“Great hotel, not so great location”
The hotel is spotlessly clean and the service is 2nd to none. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was large with tasteful furnishings. The plug sockets are also the same as the UK. We did not get a free breakfast at this hotel and it was very expensive. There was no where nearby that we could find for a cheap breakfast so often had to wait until we were out and about to get food. The hotel is directly opposite the Dubai Museum and close to the souks. It was however a 15min taxi journey to the beach and longer to the other main attractions. There is a metro stop about 15mins walk away which is quite far when you have to walk in the intense heat! Great hotel, just not so great location!
“Arabian Charisma”
This hotel has a very Arabian feel to it, evident in all the decor, with the use of marble and antiques in public areas. There is a very attractive spa area and an outdoor pool. I was very impressed with the courtesy and high service levels of all staff members, always smiling and ready to assist in any way. While I would not call this a five star hotel, I would happily return because of the Arabian feel, and the lovely staff. It is a 5 minute walk to the creek where you can take an abra ride for 1 dirham, or a 25 dirham taxi ride from the huge Dubai Mall with the dancing fountains and designer shops. The airport is also a short distance, and there is a huge souvenir shop next door with very good prices, as well as a supermarket nearby.
“can't wait to go again”
we had a stop-over from australia last year for 3 nights and this time wanted to stay at same hotel for 7 day holiday and were still very impressed, want to go back there again.
