“Good hotel”
I think this hotel was good to stay I like the service especially the breakfast which was served good. It was near quite good places like the museum and the shopping. I would recommend this hotel as it is a good service the staff were friendly and taxis were available to take you to places
“Good base”
Had reservations because of others' adverse comments but the hotel was perfectly fine. Do not stay here if looking for Dubai luxury but if you want a convenient base to see the real side of Dubai it's ideal. The percieved lack of friendliness is just reserve; the staff were very helpful in fact, rooms comfortable and clean, breakfast adequate, and location brilliant.Lots of local restaurants close by; hotel itself is dry but you can (expensively) use the bar of the Ascot across the road.
“Very impressed. Good value for money”
The hotel was really clean and staff were great. Enjoyed my stay with my family. Breakfast buffet was great. Very much would recommend this to anyone. Very quiet during the night.
“Best three star ever.”
The hotel is only three star but punches well above it's weight. All the bells and whistles are there but not all of them worked. Staff were pleasant and helpful and dealt with all our needs. The hotel is in a busy business quarter but this did not disturb us and it was only a ten minute walk to the Creek and all it has to offer. The breakfast buffet was very adequate with a fair choice. We dined in one night at the hotels 'Royal Express' restaurant, a railway themed Indian restaurant and it was fabulous, can't recommend it highly enough. On our last day they laid on breakfast at 05.30 and then took us to the airport for our onward flight, all within the price. If you are looking for a five star hotel this hotel will disapoint, but for a three star hotel costing so little I very much doubt you could get better.
“ITS O.K , VERY UNWELCOMING STAFF...”
The hotel is located in a shopping area, good access to all of dubai. Breakfast is o.k standard. Rooms not cleaned very well. Front desk staff are so miserable, virtually have no sense of humour, they give you the impression 'we don't want to talk to you'. when they do speak to you very arrogant, speak little english. If they can sort the front desk out, maybe re-training them, I would consider going again.
“Value for money”
This hotel is slightly off the main road. Hence reaching the hotel by taxi is a bit cumbersome. It is near to the Dubai Mumseum, which is a positive point. The airport pick and drop is complementary. The breakfast is complementary and since the spread is monotonous, after 2 days of stay you might feel like eating the same food daily. The rooms are good. The service is fine. Overall I would say it is worth the money you pay.
“Business Hotel”
Business hotel close to centre of old town. Rooms small but clean. Transportation to and from airport. Buffet breakfast poor, but overall reasonable value for money. Two free bottles of water supplied in your room, but these are for the length of your stay and are not replaced daily.
“Not impressed.”
The staff were very helpful and were very nice. The hotel was quite basic. There was a telephone outside my room in the hallway on the 3rd floor which rang during the day and night which I found really annoying. I couldn't watch tv because there wasn't a good reception. Breakfast was almost the same everyday and it wasn't that nice. I asked for an iron and ironing board. The first person I asked had forgotten, so I asked again and I was brought an iron and a sheet - no ironing board. I was told I would get an ironing board, but one never came. The locals in Bur Dubai stared at me as though they have never seen a woman in their entire lives. If you want a basic, cheap hotel, then that is what you're going to get.
“Not as Advertised online”
The hotel was very poorly located in a side street, surrounded by fake watch shops etc, the hotel staff were unhelpful, and unfriendly, especially front desk and restaurant staff, although the men were generally better than the women, Our passports were taken for the duration of the stay, the gym was closed for "renovation" although the only work being done in there were staff members watching TV, the pool was adequate but verry small, although i wouldnt recommend it for small children as it was very deep in places and seemed quite dirty round the edges, going out in the surrounding area was an ordeal for my partner as everyone stared at her constantly which made her very unconfortable and it was very disconcerting for both of us. the whole area felt like a backwater of the city and not at all like the rest of Dubai, especially Jumeira , and new Dubai (around mall of the emirates etc), BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT TAXIS AS THEY DO NOT KNOW THE HOTEL AT ALL, ASK FOR THE ROYAL ASCOT HOTEL, WHICH IKS PRETTY MUCH OPPOSITE BUT ON THE MAIN ROAD( 5 MIN WALK MAX) or even better stay there.
