Regent palace

Pros: nothing
Cons: Well , room service and the state of the swimming pool
Location: Location was good bar Dubai ,
To be honest I will not recommend this hotel for guests from London England or may be other part of the world because what they show in the pictures is totally wrong I went with my two sons 15 and 10 they charged me for an extra bed , the rooms was extremely small I complained about the room and they gave another room but almost the same , The breakfast was awful there was nothing proper thing apart from egg to eat what ever other stuff they had were all spicy, the receptionist were nice but over all service was not good the swimming pool was not clean and there was no guards at all They say the hotel is 5 star but it is not even 2 star I am have also told the ladies at the reception that I will be writing about my experience .The bath room exhaust of my room was not working I complained nothing had happen it was still the same all they were interested to take your money that is all .

Not bad, not great, but I'd stay again 1-2 nights

Posted 09-Aug-2014
So this hotel was no 4 star... I'll go with 2 star, maybe 3. Not sure who decides the ratings, but for booking purposes, consider it a 3 at best. Had a heck of a time finding the place. I Google Map'd and Apple Map'd it and both put it on the back side of Burjumon Mall, when in fact it's across the street from Burjumon Mall.... so I did a big half mile circle in the 120 degree summer heat. Check in was such a strange process. Like others have said, I walked in and they asked me to take a seat and wait while they processed my check in. Odd, hotels never do that. Took about 20 minutes and finally I was done. The room was ok, nothing special. It was clean, had a nice view. I'd probably stay again if just staying the night, but not longer.

Really close to a central station so can go anywhere in the city via metro. Excellent service, lost my bag in a private taxi and they found it within an hour!! Was really impressed by everything else otherwise.

Value for money

Posted 30-May-2014
Pros: Staff, position and value
Cons: Noise fromnightclub
Location: bur Jumain train station about 100 metres. $16 for day pass ery good value. good eateries in back streets.
Staff very helpful, room quite acceptable, breakfast very nice, situation close to eateries and train station (Bur jumain). Had read reviews regarding noise from nightclub on groud floor and they were right, it is a problem but they finished at 3 a.m. Overall it is a cheaper hotel so very good value for money if you can overcome the noise.

Dubai the light of the silvery moon

Location: Location was fine, very safe.
Kind, helpful staff sorted a room for me despite my very early arrival. Good, plentiful breakfast. Good location just down the road from a metro. Nice, comfortable room. Also, a hot tub on the roof of the hotel, which is always a win for me. All in all a very nice stay. One very minor warning. On check-out I was asked to wait a few minutes while the room (I assume the minibar) was checked so bear that in mind if you're looking to get away quickly. (Maybe this is a normal procedure but it's the first time I've encountered this. Understandable though). I read reports that the nightclub nearby might disturb but I was on the 2nd floor and didn't hear anything.
