Not four star but good location

Posted 18-Mar-2014
Pros: Location for airport and metro
Cons: Redecorate the bedrooms.
Location: Burjuman Metro very close. Airport only 20 minutes. Dome coffee shop by metro station.
Hotel was ok but is not a four star hotel. Location is great for getting from and to the airport. Metro station is a five minute stroll. Lots of construction work going on in the area.room was comfortable but needs refreshing as does bathroom. Not overly happy with cleanliness of the room. Staff were helpful and I was thankful to be able to get into my room early for a small fee after being on an 11 hour flight from Australia.

Better sound insulation needed

Posted 17-Mar-2014
Pros: The staff!
Cons: Sound insulation.
Location: Just hop on the metro in Burjuman station and go whereever you like in Dubai!
Regent Palace Hotel in conveniently located, offers a good choice for dining and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The only problem is that that you can hear the music from the restaurants on the first floor and the mezzanine, or you may be waken up in the middle of the night by the guests next door.

Convenient location but disappointing stay :-(

Posted 17-Mar-2014
Pros: Only the convenient location (that I could have got from nearby hotels as well) and nothing else..
Cons: Concerned & friendly hotel staff! Loud Music!!!! Have bright and clean breakfast/ lunch area and waiters that could be more diligent.
Location: There are plenty of things to do.. just plan accordingly.
The hotel is at a convenient location but it disappointing stay at the hotel, I will not stay at this place again or refer to anyone, even if it’s the best deal as it’s not worth the money at all… Was given a deluxe room at #221 for 3 nights stay, the room/ hotel that was facing the rood side traffic and a night club (rock bottom café) was on the main floor of the hotel that had loud music until 3am in the morning every single day... and I could not sleep till then due to the loud music that echoed the hotel rooms, when inquired regarding the noise at 2am the staff and the manager turned a deaf ear to my plea for a quite sleep and refused to even bother helping the guest lower the music. I had to catch my flight early morning to Canada and was tired during my entire travel due to lack of sleep at this hotel.

Pros: Location was very convenience and one minute walk to the Metro station.
Cons: Overall the Management should be improved, as well guest response, room cleanness. Need new mattresses, new bath tub and many more!!!!
Location: Location is very good, in town center and near Metro station.
The mattress was very old with loose springs. There was molds on the bathroom tiles which shows lack of house keeping. Smelly shower curtain and the bath towels. Strong odor were coming from the toilet. The safe box was left locked and when we requested some to come and open the safe for us, no one came up and even after calling the reception twice we did not get the safe opened ! Weak Internet connections with limited access, when we called the front desk for help , they told us to bring the computer down for them to fix it !!! Normally IT guy comes up to your room to ensure you are connected while you are in your room and not in the lobby !! Television remote control was not functioning well, may be the battery was too low, again no response from anyone. I had to take shower with cold water on the second day of my stay, didn't bother calling the front desk, I knew nothing would happen. All in all, no one cares about the hotel and the guests, so if you have a second hotel option , go for it !!!

Stay at the Regent Palace

Posted 14-Jan-2014
Location: Rock Bottom Club on the ground floor and Burjaman mall is right across the street.
Only had one and a half nights here, but was very please to find that the Rock Bottom club was attached. It is an excellent club for both dining and dancing.

Pros: Location was prime. Near the airport and restaurants.
Cons: Yes, my room was right over the lounge. I heard the music every night until closing.
Location: The tour bus was well placed. The trains were within walking distance. Very safe and secure location.
Enjoyed everything about the hotel. Perfect for me with facilities. Very pleased.

Room was very nice but unfortunately had been used by smokers. Perhaps our oversite when booking. Thanks again
