Legendary Atlantis

Posted 22-Aug-2014
Pros: The standard and variety of food. Very good, friendly staff. Location on the Palm. Aquaventure and the Lost Chambers
Cons: Imperial Club benefits, such as compimentary soft drinks should be extended to the whole hotel, not just the lounge. A ban on football shirts
Location: Good access to downtown Dubai and the malls, including Burj al Khalifa and dancing fountains, Ski Dubai (visit the penguins!), and Karama.
Atlantis is nothing if not spectacular. It is big and very popular, but feels like there is sufficient room for everyone. There were always sun loungers available around the pools, although you did have to hunt them down in the Aquaventure Park if you arrived after midday. Atlantis has a good selection of restaurants, and even though they were a little crowded sometimes, you didn't have to wait too long to be seated, although pre-booking is advisable. The food is excellent across all the restaurants we tried, with a huge selection of cuisine from around the world. Levantine, the Lebanese restaurant was very good, and quieter than the others, as was La Brasserie. Take time to go to the Lost Chambers aquarium, it really is something else. There is also the opportunity to snorkel or dive in the tank with the sharks, rays and fish, which was particularly memorable, and good value for money. Atlantis is great for kids, with no shortage of things for them to do, including a great kids club, and of course Aquaventure. This can be a little busy, but again is so big it isn't an issue. The hotel is spotlessly clean, has excellent air-conditioning and very friendly and attentive staff. Drinks are a little pricey, but comparable with Dubai in general.

Great hotel and facilities

Posted 20-Aug-2014
Excellent hotel in Dubai. Water park and aquarium facilities are great! The hotel has everything sorted, you can use your room key to pay for nearly everything including food. The only thing that could be improved is the signage, the place is so huge so it's quite hard to find your way around.

Excellent hotel. Best holiday we have had yet!!!!!

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: EVERYTHING
Location: Excellent location on the top of the palm.
Great stay. We had a beautiful 2bed suite, which was very luxurious with a massive round bath tub in master ensuite. Separate dressing area, guest WC and lounge room. Hotel was emaculate everywhere. Not any dirt in site. Staff couldn't do any more for us. Always ready to help and accommodate in every which way. We arrived at hotel 6 hours prior to check in, yet they had out suite ready. Water park is fantastic, plenty of slides and rides for all ages. We enjoyed the rapids and torrents most.

Best Family Hotel

Posted 10-Aug-2014
Pros: the hotel facilitates are fantastic to keep the kids occupied. the kids club is the best i have seen and staff are great. the food is very good
Cons: nothing
Location: emirates mall 15 mins drive and £6 by a taxi one way. Dubai mall 25 mins ride and £10 by a taxi one way
we have 2 daughters (3 yrs and 8 yrs) and have just come back from Atlantis the palm in Dubai. i visit Dubai every year and stayed in many top hotels. i can say that this hotel is the best hotel in Dubai. the stay is an experience and every family should go there at least once. the hotel is faultless in every aspect (Food, service...etc) we stayed in a Terrace club suite and was worth every penny. its worth upgrading to half board as it is extremely expensive and your bill can start adding up very quickly. if you book the club suite... you have a lot of free bits such as all day snacks, airport transfer...discounts on dolphin bookings, free water park entrance during your whole stay all day drinks and snacks in certain restaurants and special club lounge privileges that is worth a lot of money especially free kids club from 10am-6pm. the hotel is very busy and although it is faultless, it is not intimate as it is full of kids. on the other hand the hotel is very grand and massive to accommodate the numbers. i would recommend this hotel for families but not for couples. and please do not be put off by the negative reviews. Dubai in general is expensive and this hotel is not any different...think about half board... it is worth it.

Wonderful Atlantis

Posted 05-Aug-2014
Pros: Children and adults were catered for in every way and nothing was too much trouble. The kid friendly pools, water park, aquarium were first rate.
Location: The resort is such that with young children, you do not need to leave the hotel. This is an ideal place to go to relax with a young family.
This was our second family holiday at the Atlantis, Dubai. All the staff were helpful and welcoming, the entire hotel was immaculate, all the facilities were excellent and the choice of food outstanding and delicious. The Imperial Club was a great added bonus.

Checkin and checkout were very slow. We requested for our bags to be brought down to reception for checkout and waited for 30 min and no one came. We carried our own bags. The hotel should offer free wifi.
