I stayed 3 nights and fell on the ice near the front door due to conditions. My shoulder is still very painfull a week later. Also was bitten several times by bed bugs. I do not recommend this facility

We are sorry about the freezing condition during your stay. We do our best , spray liquid salt in the parking lot in freezing conditions. We had called our pest control company and they did not find any bed bugs in that room.We are still renting this room everyday and there is no concern to any guest. If you mention any issue to our front desk, they would have moved you to another room.

Convenient and affordable for a quick stay
It was a convenient and affordable place to stay for the holidays while visiting family in Du Quoin. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Old motel so definitely looks in need of updates, but that's okay. Clean enough, comfortable enough. All in all, we would stay here again.

There was a lot of sketchy people hanging around this hotel. One man came running down the hall obviously high on something frantic about meeting someone in a parking lot but couldn’t recall which one. We checked in and left for the State Fair immediately. When we returned the air conditioner in our room stopped working. We reported it to the front desk. The lady at the front, who is one of the owners, told us to unplug it for a few minutes and try it again. We already tried that, no luck. She then told us there were no other rooms available and offered us a fan. She obviously wasn’t going to try to help us and was so rude to us. We told her we were leaving and wanted a refund. There is no way we are paying $200 to stay in a hot box. She refused. We left anyway and drove home at midnight.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Your room air conditioner was on since 3pm. When it reaches certain cooling temp, it shuts off. When temp. goes up it will start again.We were sold out that night, otherwise front desk would have changed your room.

The manager of this motel was absolutely the best! We asjed for a change of rooms due to husbands bad back and he was immediately ok with that. He got the room ready as quick as possibly. The request by us came during the biggest attraction was going on in this area, every place was full to capacity and here was a manager more than willing to move assigned rooms around. What a wonderful stay we had. I would recommend staying here to anyone

Rooms were a little small and needed some updating. Was fairly clean. Some mold in bathroom on caulking that could be cleaned up. It was fine for our little trip away. Breakfast was just take away food and could have been served till 10 instead of 9.

READ THE REVIEWS! Dirty, very dirty. The lobby smells like something died in it. The room was dirty and had bugs all over. Stains on the bed. Horrible mattresses. It was so bad that we left after being in the room for 20 minutes. Stay anywhere else.

Sorry for the inconvenience you experienced at our motel. We are currently undergoing remodeling. There are several signs posted all over the motel. Work is going only in the common areas. After your checkout, we did not find anything wrong in the room. If any concern, you need to talk to the front desk and they will correct the issue or give you another room.

When we left I had forgotten some clothes in the closet and didn’t get a half-mile away when someone called and told me I’d left them. It’s nothing fancy but it was comfortable and it’s not easy finding a decent room in Southern Illinois.

I was there with my daughter and her young children. We felt safe, but the property was on the older side and not very clean. We had a good nights sleep and the owner was amazing.

The hotel tv didn't work, we seen a roach in the bathroom. The toilet was wobbling. The room smelled musty. The bed was comfy and the shower had good water pressure.

This a good hotel for the price. Could use a little updating, but that would probably increase the rates. Not much available in Du Quoin. Good enough for 1 night.

Over night racing trip
Was great!! For a quick trip and stay, it couldn't have been better! The older fella behind the desk, presumably the owner, was super nice and very helpful. They let me check in a couple hrs early, the night crew came and chatted with us as we drank in the lobby, they serve some basic beers, have a couple slots, and ole boy made me a good cup of coffee when I checked out.
