“EXCELLENT LOCATION”
Everything was excellent at the hotel.
“Mixed Bag”
I would recommend this hotel to those prepared to pay $34 for a breakfast buffet, and proportionately high for other restaurant options. Fortunately, we found a nearby bakery and fruit stand where we were able to breakfast well for a quarter of the price. There were several very good and reasonable restaurants within a two to four-block radius. Our room was at the far end of the hotel, about 1 block from the lobby, and 20 feet from a busy street with cars, trucks, and a streetcar. The room did not appear to have any air conditioning, and was overly warm, so we had our choice of the road noise or the heat. The advertising views of the hotel show its impressive facade facing the river and the older part of Dresden, where there are undoubtedly quiet rooms with a view.
“Good location, very friendly staff”
Excellent location, close to everything, nice walking area down to Elbe or over the Augusus bridge to the old town. Hotel is very clean, quiet and has all the amenities of a 4 star hotel. Breakfast is very expensive and the internet charge is steep however. Still a good value after getting a good deal from expedia on the hotel price itself.
“Good choice - need cheaper (free?) WiFi”
Confortable, clean, classy. Front desk very helpful. WiFi costs way up there - 18 Euros for 24 hrs - really? 10 minutes walk from major atttractions in old city plus there are some cheaper eating and shopping choices across the street.
“Five Stars”
The Westin is located near the banks of the Elbe, a short distance from the Augustus bridge, which leads into the centre of the old town. The hotel is five star in everyday. The breakfast is exceptional. The dining restaurant is very pleasant. The hotel has a good wellness area, with a large pool. The staff are pleasant, quality of service depends on grasp of English, but overall is very good.
“Good hotel, good location”
Good hotel, but was given single beds when a king bed had been reserved. Pool is nice but dated, and not warm.
“dresden hotel”
an excellent hotel in ideal position for a tourist visit
“Great location”
It's situated conveniently to the old town area of Dresden, within a few minutes walk over the bridge. I had a river view room and thought it well worth the price. I didn't try the restaurants as I seldom think that it's worth the extra costs in Europe. Must be the exchange rate, but I'm morally opposed to paying $25-$30 per person for a bread and cheese buffet. Anyway, I'd recommend this hotel.
“Extremely comfortable”
great location, very nice rooms, a classy hotel, with everything you could want at your finger-tips. Great breakfasts also.
“Well situated and great spa”
The Westin Bellevue hotel is well situated for access to Dresden's old town as well as being on the fringe of the new town with its good shopping and range of restaurants. For me, the proximity of the Neustadt railway station was important : it is about a 10 minute walk or 2 short tram rides. The hotel spa is excellent with a good pool and small but well equipped gym as well as saunas. The hotel restaurant, the Canaletto, serves food of a high standard. The bar food prices seemed a little high by comparison. My room was a little functional though adequate and reasonably sized. Sound proofing between rooms was my only real complaint as noise from next door's television spoiled one night's sleep. Breakfast is a sizeable and well presented buffet in a room overlooking the river Elbe.
