“Quick trip to Dresden”

Took a "day trip" to Dresden and at the last minute chose the Maritim Hotel for an overnight stay. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room (American-sized) - this is highly uncommon for Europe. The room was clean, the bathroom was nice (also big-American style)... glass elevators and a large lobby area. It was a little eerily quiet at the hotel, however, it might be that this is a convention hotel, as opposed to a "tourist" hotel. The staff was friendly and pleasant, and the parking underneath the hotel was also great. The hotel is about a 5-8 minute walk to the main square, but is definitely worth the stay!

Area recommendations
Staying in the main square of Dresden is fine, and good for the tourist stuff, but for the sake of quiet, ease & convenience of leaving a vehicle in a secure area, and just good old peace and quiet, I recommend the Maritim Hotel Dresden Devreintstraße 10-12.

“All you need in near Luxury style”

Great location to old town Dresden, behind the Opera House. Extremely clean. Fantastic front desk service. Only negative was he bed. It seemed older, having no support for the back.

Traveller's tip
Polish Pottery shopping is just a little over an hour away! Shop in Poland, stay the night in luxurious Dredsen!

“Top-Hotel in Elblage nach der Altstadt”

Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Mitarbeiter sind ausgesprochen nett und serviceorientiert. Das Zimmer war geräumig und mit Blick auf die Elbe. Der Schwimmbad- und Saunabereich ist sehr ansprechend und war nicht überfüllt. Das Hotel bietet ein sehr gutes Frühstücksbufett. Eine Bar mit sehr angenehmer Atmossphäre ist im Hause. Unter dem Haus ist das Parken in der Tiefgarage gegen 14,00 EUR täglich möglich, was zu Zeiten des Weihnachtsmarktes sehr hilfreich war. Etwas störend waren allein die an den beiden Wochentagen unseres Aufenthaltes anwesenden Reisegruppen, die langfristig und mit großer Lautstärke während besichtigungsfreier Zeiten Lobby und Frühstücksbereich umfassend belegten.

Elbsandsteingebirge (z. B. Bad Schandau) und Spreewald. In diesen Bereichen, die viel schöne Natur zu bieten haben, befinden sich etliche Sehenswürdigkeiten. Insbes. zu Jahreszeiten mit schönem Wetter sind auch sportliche Aktivitäten wie Fahrrad fahren, wandern, paddeln möglich, um das Gebiet zu erkunden. Die Gebiete sind von Berlin aus gut für eine Kurzreise zu erreichen und bietet gute Hotels und Gastronomie.
When to go
Die Vorweihnachtszeit bietet sich an, um die schönen Weihnachtsmärkte zu besuchen. Zudem können viele Sammlungen der Museen, Kirchen und Schlösser beichtigt werden. Ein Besuch in der Semperoper ist lohnenswert. Für Weihnachtseinkäufe ist ein großes Einkaufszentrum mit schönn Geschäften direkt in der Innenstadt vorhanden.

“Maritim Hotel in Dresden beste Lage für Besichtigungen der Altstadt”

Ich war für 2 Tage in Dresden und suchte ein Hotel, was fussläufig zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten gelegen ist. Das Hotel ist in einem umgebauten alten Speicher untergebracht und die Größe des Hotels wird einem durch die interessante Architektur des Gebäudes kaum bewusst. Es ist sehr gediegen und komfortabel, mit einem tollen Pool- und Saunabereich, genau das Richtige nach einem langen Tag auf den Füßen. Die Semperoper ist nur 5 Minuten Fussweg entfernt, das Hotel steht direkt am Elbufer mit Sicht auf das Japanische Palais. Alles in allem ein toller Aufenthalt mit zuvorkommendem Personal und sauberen, zurückhaltend eingerichteten Zimmern. Einzig ärgerlich finde ich, dass für Hotelbesucher Parkgebühren anfallen, worauf nicht hinreichend bei der Einfahrt ins Parkhaus hingewiesen wird.

“Das Maritim Hotel Dresden liegt direkt hinter der Semperoper am Ufer der Elbe.”

Einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass ein Frühstück 19,- Euro kostet und das Parken 14,- Euro pro Tag. Das Hotel ist sauber, sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, freundliches Personal, große Zimmer. Im Zimmer hört man nichts mehr - alle Geräusche sind verschwunden.

Area recommendations
Dresden ist sehr schön. Unbedingt die Frauenkirche ansehen, das Grüne Gewölbe, den Dresdner Zwinger. Essen im Pulverturm hinter der Frauenkirche (Vorbestellung ist notwendig) ist ein Muss. Aber auch Ausflüge in die Umgebung sind angeraten, z.B. mit einem Ausflugsschiff nach Pillnitz. Toll war auch der Besuch mit Führung und Verkostung in der Brauerei in Radeberg. Auch hier muss man sich anmelden. Mit dem Regionalzug von Dresden fährt man in einer halben Stunde (täglich alle halbe Stunde Abfahrt von Dresden) nach Radeberg als Familie für nur 11,- Euro.
Shopping
Riesig und toll sind die Altmarkt Passagen. So ein riesiges Shoppingcenter habe ich in Deutschland noch nicht gesehen.

“Gutes und zentralgelegenens Hotel”

Gutes Hotel für Stadtbesichtigungen. Leider keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer. Sonst keine Beanstandungen. Pris-und-Leistungen stimmen.

“Tolles Hotel in zentraler Lage,”

aber trotzdem ruhig. Alles, wie man es sich in einem 4-Sterne Hotel wünscht. Fußläufig ist man in 5 min. in der City. Das Personal ist sehr höflich und zuvorkomend. Wir werden dieses Hotel wieder nutzen.

“Meine Frau undich waren sehr zufrieden-ein tolles Hotel”

Das Hotel liegt nur paar hundert Meterl zur Altstadt entfernt -also sehr zentral
