“Great Location for Station”

Oppposite Train Station, & Tram station is 100 metres up the road, hotel issues out free tram tickets. 15 minutes to city centre. Very clean, good service, sound proofed rooms Great place to stay.

“Good Location for Travel, Creepy Nights”

This hotel is in a great location for daytrip travel. The staff is very helpful, and a travel card for the tram system is included in your room fee. There is a large pedestrian walking area with shops and restaurants about three blocks away. There are two problems with the hotel. First, the write up for the hotel indicates that internet access is complementary in the room or you can pay for wireless. Unfortunately, they don't provide you with the ability to access from your room in any other way but wireless. Secondly, the materials they made building out of, and the relative openess of the surrounding area, tend to amplify sounds. If you are a light sleeper, or perhaps just a bit paranoid, it can make for some creepy nights.

“Dresden's best”

Dresden must be one of Germany's most pedestrian friendly cities and the hotel's location takes advantage of being close to both the main train station and to Prager Strasse, the main shopping pedestrian street. Unlike train stations in the USA which are often located in unsafe/ugly locations, the InterCity Hotel is located in a most desirable spot and is surprisingly quiet. Don't hesitate for a moment to stay here...the rooms are new, with lovely bathrooms. Really recommend this sleek hotel to anyone who visits Dresden. The hotel provides a free public transit pass which covers the S Bahn, trams, and busses withing the city center of dresden. That alone would likely cost 6 to 8 Euro a day. I stayed four nights and would stay again. I do wish wifi and breakfast had been included in the basic price, but no matter...it's still a great place.

“Very convenient, fine hotel”

Quiet, clean, very modern hotel across from the main rail station. Very short walk to trams which lead all over Dresden. Free tram pass with room. Breakfast a bit pricey, but there's a terrific food market in the station. Great place for any visit to Dresden (which shouldn't be missed by any traveler to Germany).

“Absolutely marvelous value”

This modern hotel steps from the Hauptbahnhof-Dresden is perfect for both leisure and business traveler: staff is professional and helpful, hotel is bright, modern with amazing shower/bathrooms. Near to shops and well within walking distances of historic center as well as the University, trams and buses also leave steps away from the hotel entrance. We have already recommended this hotel heartily to prospective visitors to Dresden. Possibly the best value we have experienced in years of travel.

“Good value”

Room would have been a little cramped for twin occupancy. Air conditioning was not particularly effective. Location is very good with good access to city centre and transport links. The free travel facility is very useful

“Quiet, efficient and good value”

If you don't mind being 20 minutes' walk from the main tourist area, the InterCity is a good base for your stay in Dresden. Just across the road from the main station but very quiet, the hotel is refreshingly free of the frills you don't need and provides the basics to a high standard. Excellent tram services take you to the centre in a few minutes. All round good value.

“Handy location, great service, bonus free travel pass, lovely hotel”

We had a lovely stay! The decor is modern and pleasant, bed comfortable, good tv, safe, lighting etc, the bathroom was very good, and even though we had the corner room right on the end facing the station, we were not disturbed at all by trains. You can hear them if you have the window open, and there's a tram line outside, so I guess if you are a very light sleeper / very disturbed by any noise, maybe ask for a room further away, but it was not a problem for us at all. And I know there were other guests staying at the hotel because I saw them, but we never heard a peep from any other room, it seemed very well soundproofed! It was nice to be so close to the station, when we arrived with all our luggage, and also for going on day trips, it is a 2 minute walk to the main entrance. It is only a 10-15 minute walk to the old town, straight up the main shopping street, or you can take a tram from near the station. This was especially handy as upon arrival, the hotel had given us free travel passes for the city's buses and trams for the whole length of our stay. I don't know if they do this all the time, but it was an excellent freebie and a nice touch. We mainly walked around as the weather was lovely and you can get to all the main sights easily on foot, but it was nice to be able to hop on a tram when we wilted in the heat. I thoroughly recommend this hotel for its location, service, and very reasonable rates for a 4 star hotel, I would definitely stay there again.

“Clean, friendly and convenient”

Located a very short walk from the main train station with easy access to the city tram lines, this hotel was very convenient - especially since the room rate include a free pass for the tram. It was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. Buffet breakfast was excellent.
