“Dresden Holiday”
Excellent apartment in the center of old town. Comfortable beds and useable well laid out rooms. Museums and shopping withing walking distance. A true treasure of an apartment. Double glazed windows so it is nice and quiet. Not to be missed is the Glass Factory (a VW specialty car factory? Tours by appointment only. Had our best meal at the restaurant inside the factory. Excellent Tapas restaurant in their main mall, ground level, not expensive! Put on your walking shoes because this is truly a walking town.
“Great value apartments in excellent location”
Our apartment was fantastic - clean, fully equipped and in a great location in the old town just steps from all the sites. Helpful, friendly staff too.
“Central location for reasonable price”
Our room overlooked the Frauenkirche and main square in Dresden. Very convenient location also meant some noise at night, since it was summer and we had the window open. But overall--worth it. Staff was okay, but you had to ask for service if you wanted it. They did not volunteer much information but did help when asked.
“Light, bright and quiet”
The apartment was in the centre of Old Town which meant easy access to lots of points of interest, especially Frauerkirk, and close to the boat quay Staff were very helpful. Our unit was quiet because it was at the back of a building. The walk from the main train station was 20-25 mins, but flat and easy, and walking allowed us to understand the layout of things. Good supermarket close.
“Awesome location-perfect”
Will definitely return
“Great Location!”
Tucked away in a little side street off of the main square where the Frauenkirche is, the Aparthotel can be hard to find. Luckily we had read reviews and our taxi driver knew where to go (he dropped us off behind the hotel). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pleasantly surprised by size of rooms and cleanliness of place. Our bathtub had a funky shape which made showering kind of difficult, but everything else was perfect. Even had a washing machine (no dryer though). Rooms looked out on side street which was very lively in the evening. However, windows were pretty good at keeping out the noise. We were three people so besides the two twins (double) in the bedroom we had a rollaway in the living room. Still, there was plenty of room and we didn't feel crowded at all.
“Great location”
We were in Dresden with or two daughters for a three-day trip. We are lucky that we found this hotel in the heart of the city. The apartment had two nice bedrooms and a small kitchen. Perfect for a family.
“reasonably priced hotel/apartment in central Drsden”
Centrally located with cooked breadkfast, clean big room with tea making facilities plus a micro wave oven. quiet plus free internet. perfect.
“Great Location Great Price”
Extremely nice location close to everything. We are very happy to have found this place to stay. One bedroom and living room. It's great to have the kitchen and a wash machine during our stay. Restaurants are just all around the location. Only complain is that you have to walk up the stairs to the reception office. If you travel with more than 2 people, just have one person watch the stuff downstairs, while the other person check in to avoid carrying luggages up to the reception office. Also be aware of the taxi service next to this place. We had a bad taxi driver who charged us 30 euro to go to Schloss Moritzburg while it should only cost less than 25 eruo. He drove more to jack up the price and even though we told him to stop already. So ask for a price before you take taxi to schloss Moritzburg. Also the reception people are not helpful to give much details, they would rather you take a tour through them which costs 80 euro per person. It's also possible to take S bahn and bus to schloss Moritzburg, but find out the bus schedule first because the bus only goes there like once an hour, otherwise it's the most economic way.
“Great location, great room, AWFUL FRONT DESK”
For a long-term stay, this would be the place. The rate was similar to a one-room hotel, but we had a lovely apartment with kitchen. However -- The people at the front desk were awful. One woman purposely gave me incorrect change when I bought a map. Although we had vouchers for breakfast, when we checked out they tried to charge the three of us 12 Euros apiece (approx. $17 at the exchange rate) for a buffet breakfast of bread and cold cuts. I objected, and was subjected to a prolonged and insulting exchange with the front-desk clerk. I offered to pay less (I had seen that the restaurant where breakfast was offered was charging 5.99 Euros to customers who had walked in off the street), but instead I was called "a thief who wanted something for nothing." When I said I had been given breakfast vouchers, I was questioned about the color of the vouchers, where they were, etc., etc. It made what would have otherwise been an excellent experience into something extremely unpleasant.
