“Three block walk to the train station.”

This is a clean no frills hotel. Bathrooms were small but functional. Rooms are bright and cheery. No ice available in hotel or at the grocery next door.

“Will definitely stay again!”

A great budget hotel. Located in a quiet neighborhood (I was there on X'mas eve thou), and close to a supermarket. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was compact, but nice and clean. Not too far of a walk to the main train station/city center (approx. 5-7 mins), and a nice walk to the old town district (approx. 20 mins).

“Jederzeit wieder”

Dies war mein drittes A & O - Hotel und bisher das Beste. Das Zimmer war zwar arg klein (drei Wochen bei Regen möchte ich dort nicht verbringen), aber penibel sauber und mit allen Notwendigkeiten ausgestattet. Für einen Städtetrip also genau das Richtige. Es liegt hinter dem Bahnhof in einer relativ tristen Gegend (neben den Finanzämtern und einem Aldi), durch die Nähe zum Bahnhof ist man aber schnell an den Straßenbahnen und zum Altstadt-Zentrum ist es ohnehin nicht weit. Schön ist auch die Sky-Bar im 8. Stock. Hier kann man ab 18 Uhr bei einem Getränk von oben die Aussicht auf Dresden genießen. Wenn ich nochmal nach Dresden komme, würde ich dort wieder buchen.

Area recommendations
Mit der S-Bahnlinie S 1 ist man vom Hauptbahnhof in 45 Minuten im Elbsandsteingebirge (VVo - 3 Tarifzonen). Die Festung Königstein ist bombastisch.

In Dresden selber lohnt sich ein Blick auf das Panoramabild im Gasometer ("Panometer Dresden")

“Gunstig aber...”

Es ist ein sehr Preiswertes Hostel, da kann man nichts sagen. Aber die Zimmer waren dreckig, Barfuß auf dem Boden laufen geht gar nicht, schimmel in der Dusche,aber halt auch sehr Zentral gelegen. Also wer Party machen will und nur ne günstige Übernachtung sucht für den ist es O.K.

Verkehrsgünstig und preiwert. Alles was man für einen Städtetrip braucht. .Unschlagbar im Preis- Leistungsverhältnis das Frühstücksbuffet.

“Preis Leistung ist, so denke ich, kaum zu toppen, halt Jugendherbergsstil...”

Ich hatte noch nie einen solch günstigen Wochenend Stadttrip, waren alle sehr nett, super Sky Lounge, happy hour von 19 - 20 Uhr auf einer Dachterasse, ich fahr da noch mal hin
