"Very hip hotel, great value"
Very hip decor and atmosphere. Laser beam flooring, records and guitar bits on the walls, supper shag carpet runner, popular song lyrics. The staff was really friendly, knew English well ad made some great area recommendations.
The room was nice. Heated bathroom floors. Weird bed sheets, it was like two blankets sewn up in two sheets, not great if you get hot and not great for cuddling because they were two separate "sheets." The bathroom wall was a little weird in our room. There was a little window at the top of the wall that you could see through nad a couch right below the window. Not a problem for us as a couple but could be interesting.
The breakfast was excellent, best I've ever had complimentary. The had a spread of cheese (brie, Jarlsberg, goat...) meats, fresh fruit (watermelon, pineapple, apple), very good scrambled eggs, a huge selection of fresh grain breads with jams and butters, sausage, bacon, yogurt, a cereal station where you could make your own cereal with oats, granola, seeds, nuts, flakes and dried fruit. The quality and selection was very good.
Parking was confusing but they explained it at the front desk. We were about a block from the beautiful Ypsilon bridge and very close to the river. Very close to the grocery store Meny and restaurants and a short walk from downtown.
