Maria the receptionist, very friendly, courteous, helpful, spoke English. The room was large, the bathroom about the same size! The hotel is very clean. No lift, so be ready for the stairs. A bit noisy on my floor, through out the night, people must have been coming and going (as the hotel is at the airport). Breakfast (continental) would get you thru to lunch. Not only is the hotel close to the airport, but, the metro stop is just around the corner (3 min ). The metro ticket machine has an english button. But, if in doubt, ask Maria from reception.
The rooms are clean but needs renovations.
The staff is very freindly and helpful.
It is only 1 minute away from metro station by foot. (20 minuts ride to airport by metro, only 1.7 euro)

Excellent quiet room, comfortable beds, very good free internet, nice functional bathroom, and good climate control. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Easy walking to shopping at MARS with a very good array of eating choices - nothing else close by.
Apart from a single news station - CNN - no English TV. Good 20 minute walk to the waterfront, but well worth it.
Sadly there is no airport transfer as stated in the Expedia writeup. It is 17-18 euros for a cab. When you can take the underground from the airport for minimal cost into downtown Porto it makes the price somewhat less appealing.
