Nice facilities with easy access to town
Very pleasant stay. Facilities are clean, plenty of parking. A lovely pool that we were not able to use as it was cool in late September during our visit. Breakfast was good - the standard for Italy. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. There was good access if you are driving to restaurants in the town.

Great service in an old hotel
Fantastic service from staff that is absolutely amazing! But... The rooms are far behind. Air conditioning worked in one of the three (!) rooms we stayed in and is very noisy. The beds are extremely noisy and will wake you up. The furniture in the rooms are very old and literary falls apart. Would I recommend you to stay here? Well, we where biking and walking around in the surroundings and it is lovely. But the hotel is not close to anything, closest village is 30 min walk away. Go here if you don't care for a modern room and the service is most important to you because the service is simply PERFECT!

Luxurious inn in Emilia-Romagna region of Italy
This place is gorgeous! The staff are all incredibly helpful. . .especially Phillippe and Maria Teresa. It's an old convent that has been converted into a hotel so there are a few creaks here and there, but overall this place rocks! Great food, great beverages, EVERYONE is helpful, and the setting is magical--rolling hills of Emilia-Romagna all around you as you sip wine and enjoy the passage of time. Stay here. . .you will love it and never want to leave. . .few tourists. . .mostly Italians doing what Italians do be: look good. Salut!

Must read!
This property is beautiful. The outside has breathtaking views of the Italian countryside. We ate dinner at the restaurant and again, exceptional food. The waitress was very kind but we ordered a wine tasting with our meal and she mixed up the description of a couple if the wines. We didnt tell her though because she served them in the correct order. Things got worse frim there. The staff failed ti mention to us that they were having a discotek that evening by the pool (which our room was facing). By midnight we were exhausted but couldnt sleep as the noise level was extreme. Apparently this goes on every wednsday evening through the summer. When I went ti the frint desk to complain and ask to be moved my request was denied. We were asked to be patient as the disco would end around 2am. Also to note I asked to speak with the manager (philippe Silva) and the employee at the desk could not find him. The next morning on check out I asked ti speak with him again, finally he came out. As I tried to explain my dissatisfaction he was argumentative and at times accusatory. After explaining myself at least 4 times he finally offered ti discount 50% if our dinner from the evening before. Not very accomodating to guests in my book.

Wonderful stay
Stayed from a Sun - Tues, found the place and staff fantastic. Also did a pasta making lesson while we were there, Chef Bruno was very hospitable and later that evening prepared one of the best meals I've had in Italy. Nearby Dozza offers different restaurants, but eat in the hotel dein by the pool at least one night. Good wifi throughout also, even by pool.

It's worth the Drive.
Stayed 1 night in July. If you are looking at this hotel I assume you have a car, as this establishment is slightly off the beaten track, in lovely countryside. Good signpost to find del Ray on the b roads. We arrived and was checked in by a very friendly and pleasant young lady. (sorry forgot name, use to work for Ryan air.) always, for me anyway, a standard mark of the hotel and what to expect when you first have contact at reception. The hotel is lovely, plenty of character. The room was superb above all very clean. There is coffee / tea making facility in the room and the bed was comfortable. The pool area is superb, lovely comfortable padded sun loungers free poolside towels and a bar with waiter service. We decided to have dinner by the pool, an outside barbeque which was very good, lots of sea food on offer as well as steaks. To top it all the breakfast is superb in a lovely themed room with plenty of choices, even cook you bespoke omelettes. The best hotel that we stayed in on our road trip by far. Highly recommend this Hotel, superb surroundings with excellent and professional staff to look after your needs. Enjoy.

We love the hotel an the location one thing will nice to tell hotel you are working they need to be able to change dollars for euro if they ask for Banks do not change and in small villages is hard to find any place only the hotel you are staying.

Spacious rooms and lovely staff
We had trouble finding the way to the hotel at night. Our rental car's GPS device took us to the hotel from a route that is closed. Driving from a very narrow street, in pitch dark was not pleasant. We could see the lights of the hotel at the top of the mountain but couldn't reach there. Thank God on our way down to the main road we found a police car, and the lovely policemen took us to the hotel. Francesca welcomed us to the hotel with her angelic voice. The staff was very kind and helpful. Our room as well as the bathroom was very spacious and comfortable. I guess it will be a nice hotel to stay for weekend getaways.

beautiful hotel in magnificent setting
booked this hotel on the basis of expedia recommendations and were not disappointed. in the countryside on top of a hill with beautiful rooms and a fantastic if expensive restaurant. too quiet for our teenagers but ideal for couples.

The hotel and location are unique, very nice atmosphere and facilities. A good base to explore l'Emilia-Romagna and its cuisine. Staff were fantastic, always going the extra mile and with a smile on their faces at all times. Food and drinks very good and reasonably priced for a hotel of such category. I look forward to returning and spend more days there.

When we got to the hotel, which is hard to do, we couldn't park anywhere close because a wedding was going on which completely shut down anything else at the hotel We couldn't eat dinner because the restaurant was closed to us, but not to the wedding party. Crap!!!

Ho prenotato una camera doppia superior di 26 mq con letto matrimoniale e vasca a totale immersione ma mi è stata assegnata una camera piccola, con letto di una piazza e mezzo e senza vasca. Nella sala colazione, prevista fino alle 10.30, già alle 9.15 non veniva più rifornita e ci siamo accontentati di yougurt e caffè. La location in compenso è molto bella e la zona tranquilla per rilassarsi.

Devo dire che sono rimasto più o meno soddisfatto della struttura. La camera è risultata però piccola, anche alla luce del prezzo non da tutti a notte e con finestra senza vista, cosa che ci si aspetta da una struttura del genere, in mezzo alle colline circostanti. Per il resto pulizia ottima, anche se la colazione mi ha deluso.

Abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte durante un giro in moto, solo il ristorante vale la sosta, dotato di piscina attrezzatissima, gli altri servizi in linea con un quattro stelle, buona pulizia, personale gentilissimo, nel complesso esperienza positiva .

Prachtige locatie.
Zeer gastvrij ontvangen door het personeel, snel geholpen en een duidelijke uitleg. Hotelkamer was wat aan de gedateerde kant. Klein gammel bed, vieze kitranden in de badkamer, douchekop houder die ik eerst zelf vast moest draaien, roestige radiator en dat soort kleinigheidjes. Verder was het erg gehorig, dit alles hoort natuurlijk bij de charme van een oud historisch gebouw. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid met vers fruit, vers sap en heerlijke zoetigheden. Ook hier werd de professionaliteit en behulpzaamheid weer bevestigd. Altijd met een lach op het gezicht de verzoeken en vragen van gasten beantwoorden. Het zwembad met bijbehorende faciliteiten is helemaal top, genoeg ligbedden en zitplaatsen en een uitgebreide zwembadbar voor een hapje of een drankje. Kortom: Plusplunt: Prachtige locatie met uitstekende faciliteiten en vriendelijk personeel. Minpunt: ietswat oud, gehorig en gedateerde kamer (s).

-Doppelzimmer gebucht und bezahlt, Einzelzimmer mit 140cm-Bett erhalten -freitags und samstags ist Partytime (500 Ortsansässige feiern sehr exquisit), als Hotelgast kein Zutritt und man ist unerwünscht, Pool + Terrasse + Aussenanlagen + Restaurant dürfen wegen Party nicht genutzt werden -absolutes Parkplatzchaos + Höllenlärm -Frühstück am Wochenende erst ab 7:30, aber vor 8:00 kein Personal da -wegen Hochzeitsfeiern konnten sonntags Pool + Terrasse + Aussenanlagen + Restaurant nicht genutzt werden --> echt schade für das viele Geld!

A lovely one night stay with nice pool
We came to Monte del Re on a Monday to avoid any event in the hotel and it was nice and quiet. We came around noon and we knew that room was to be ready by 2pm. We asked if we could stay at the pool for the time and it was ok. We enjoyed the pool area so much that we stayed there much longer and had a nice lunch at the pool. Pool water was clean and cool, which was good as weather was sunny and 34 degrees. The only thing to mention is that sun unbrellas could not be opened because of strong wind time to time - we understood it. The room was a bit small but enough for us and it was clean. Air conditioning worked very well. The staff were very friedly. Buffet breakfast was above average Italian breakfast with also omelettes, joghurt and fruits. The hotel grounds and surroundings are very beautiful. We would certainly recommend the hotel to others, but you might want to check for any events (e.g. weddings) beforehand.

Viaggio di lavoro, ma meglio per vacanza
Sono stato al Monte del Re in occasione di un viaggio di lavoro a Bologna. L'hotel si trova sulle colline in posizione tranquilla vicino a Dozza, paesino da visitare. Mi aspettavo dalle foto pubblicate stanze un pochino più grandi. Mancano le prese per caricare il telefono, si deve staccare la lampada sul comodino. Il bagno è spazioso e dotato di vasca, unica pecca, il secondo giorno non sono stati ripristinati i prodotti. La sala colazione è carina e ci sono tante cose da mangiare con ottimi salumi e formaggi. Sicuramente il soggiorno si gode di più nel periodo estivo sfruttando anche la piscina. Un po' fuori mano ma con l'auto si arriva ovunque.

Il nostro soggiorno presso l'Hotel Monte del Re è stato davvero pacevole, la location è degna di nota con lode, grazie a ciò abbiamo potuto trascorrere un bel Ferragosto. Pensiamo di ritornarci! Consigliato a chi ama vivere bene.

Underbar plats som jag gärna håller för mig själv!
Ett bekvämt, lugnt och unikt boende i ett gammalt kloster mitt på Apenninernas början. Med fantastisk utsikt över vidsträckta vinodlingar, 15 min i bil till Bologna, 1,5 h till Florens och 30 min till Rimini fanns allt inom lagom räckhåll för mysiga dagsturer. Restaurangen serverade god mat och vin från regionen och personalen var väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam. Ta med stassen då det är fest vid poolen för alla varje onsdag! Arrivederci och på återseende!

Koninklijk verblijf
Echt een koninklijk verblijf. Zo is het Hotel ingericht en zo wordt je ook behandeld. Service was voortreffelijk. We kwamen erg laat aan rond kwart voor elf s'avonds en toch werd gevraagd of we nog iets wilde eten waarna de kok speciaal voor ons aan de slag ging. De kamers zijn ruim, met goede bedden en hebben airco. Het hotel ligt prachtig op een heuvel en kijkt vanaf het zwembad wijds uit over de omgeving. Toen wij er waren was er een diner met pool party waar wij ook voor uitgenodigd waren (35 euro pp). Erg leuk om mee te doen en zoals wij begrepen hadden wordt dit elke woensdagavond georganiseerd. Bologne is met de trein goed te doen. Auto gratis bij station parkeren en binnen 25 minuten in centrum.

Traumhafte Lage außerhalb des sehenswerten Ortes Dozza. Reception nicht besonders hilfreich. Zimmer recht klein. Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht. Sehr gutes Frühstück in interessantem Raum, sehr nette, freundliche, hilfsbereite Bedienungen dort. Der etwas in die Jahre gekommene Zustand der Räumlichkeiten wird durch die tolle, ruhige Lage kompensiert.

Problem hotel uden charme
Vi følte os ikke som gæster men som et forstyrrende element. Morgenbuffeen blev ikke fyldt op, der var defekte pærer i natbordslampen, revnet skærm den omtalte pool var ikke i klar. Eneste ros skal kokken have - den ene aften fik vi et supert måltid vel tilberedt, men med en ukvalificeret betjening. Vi foretrak næste aften af sprise i et storcenter.Alt i alt ikke det opholdt vi havde set frem til.

Schoenes Hotel mit Schoenheitsfehlern.
Schoenheitsfehler am Poolbereich durch einige haessliche Huetten . Liegen defekt. Der Fruehstuecksraum ist im ehemalige n Kreuzgang mit herrl. Brunnen untergebracht. Das geht leider durch die kompl. Ueberdachung verloren.
