Being in the downtown area, while staying here I came to realize how great the location really was. I was new to Seattle, so trying to get around the various forms of transportation proved simple because everything was within reach. The Light Rail has a stop across the street, the Monorail station is a few blocks away and there are plenty of buses along 5th Ave to get you pretty much anywhere. Pike's Market is a 5 minute walk from here and there were many restaurant/bars in the area to keep you busy. Besides the location, the hotel staff was very pleasant offering me upgrades and assistance wherever they could. My room was upgraded at no cost to me and they were very accommodating to me, despite arriving several hours early to check-in. My experience of Seattle was amazing and partly because of staying at this hotel. I would gladly come back.
We had an amazing time! The hotel is in a nice location between the space needle and Pike's market. The rooms are beautiful with a nice over sized bath and the hotel has a complimentary car service that will take you anywhere in a two miles radius! We had a wonderful time and we'll be back again!
The hotel is wonderfully located in downtown Seattle--only blocks from Pikes Place Market and shopping. It contains a fantastic restaurant and is very near several other great restaurants. The hotel once served as quarters for lumber workers so most rooms are small. The bathroom in our king room was inconvenient because of its lack of counter space and cramped size. The shower/bath occupied a separate small room within our room. We had no view. We enjoyed the free craft beer served each evening, and the hotel staff was helpful and friendly. A workout center was directly across the street.
A great looking hotel, 10/10 on decor. It's apparently brand new, though, so not all the operational kinks have been worked out just yet. To wit, the automatic door is too close to the front desk, so it's constantly opening and closing as you stand there waiting to check in/out; the complimentary coffee/lemon water station was out of cups as often as not; they kept forgetting to turn the light on in the sundries store; the short-term luggage storage process needs refining; the bar doesn't open until 4, so if you're early for check-in (which is at 4), you're SOL for food/drink as the hotel is in an area that's currently being built, so there are NO other options for those items close by; the elevator/room card is a "reader" (ie, you wave it past a screen rather than insert it into anything), and it "takes" about 50% of the time, resulting in a lot of frustrated waving back and forth; the dining room lacks signage indicating the process (ie, "Be seated and a waitress will take your drink order, THEN help yourself to the buffet"). All of that said, the staff were very nice and professional. This will be a great hotel once it settles in.
I have not had a better experience at a hotel. The staff was courteous and professional, and it wasn't forced or stilted. The staff was genuinely kind and considerate. It was quite plain that everyone was just nice and decent and perfectly suited for the hospitality profession. We were warmly greeted from the moment we checked in and our comfort was of concern throughout our stay. We simply could not have asked for a better experience. The room was clean, cool and artfully decorated; and every time we came back after a day out, the room was cleaned thoroughly. The hotel is also in a great location. There is so much shopping and great places to see within walking distance, and even more places within cab driving distance. The neighborhood was also lively and eclectic, and we always felt safe. When walking around we noticed the presence of law enforcement and city ambassadors (they even offered to take pics of us and offered great suggestions about different things to do). Again, it was a great experience, and when I go back to Seattle, I will definitely stay there again.
We had a great stay at the Hilton Seattle. The staff was friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the free happy hour (drinks and appies) and the free breakfast! We would definitely stay there again and have already recommended it to our friends and family.
Downtown Seattle stretches along Puget Sound from historic Pioneer Square in the south to trendy Belltown in the north. In between, office towers, shopping gallerias, and brick condos line the leafy avenues. The convention center is here, as is Pike Place Market, where salmon fly. Don't miss the futuristic main library. Seattle's twin stadiums and the International District lie south of downtown.
