If you're staying in downtown Miami this should be the only hotel you stay at.
A bayview room on the 27th floor with awesome views out to the ocean and over to South Beach and Brickell.
The room is huge, 52 inch HD TV, bathroom with bath tub and walk in shower.
Housekeeping twice a day and nightly ice and chocolates brought to room are a great touch.
The pool on the 19th floor is brilliant and very quiet as is the gym on the 20th floor.
Hotel staff all friendly and have the time of day for you and stop and chat.
The location is perfect for Brickell and bayside marketplace, both walkable within 15 minutes. Hotel 2 blocks from the free metromover. Bus over to South beach 3 blocks from hotel and costs $2.25.
Can't fault this hotel in the slightest, absolutely worthy of 5 stars.

Great and pleasant service from everyone at the hotel. Lobby is always clean and smells great (inscents). The gym and pool are 24 hours! Great. The gym has excellent equipment, with water and fresh fruit.
Nice hotel but cell service is terrible and so is Wu- fi. For whatever reason the public can access really shirt wifi from the lobby and surrounded area, but if your a guest your expected to pay $18 per day. Rediculous. Also if you miss the free coffee in the morning they charge you $10.90 for 2 small cups of really bad coffe. You don't expect this from a hotel of this caliber. Other than that the hotel, service and rooms were very nice.

I like the location, it's very convenient to park and get food, and get a quick view of the downtown. But the road condition around the hotel is extremely complicated and you'll get lost in this one ways even with the navigator.
Check-in was easy, staff was friendly. They even called to make sure the room was up to my expectations after I got there. The room was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. Just a side note, parking is extra so be prepared.
The Metromover links the AmericanAirlines Arena, Bayside Marketplace, the Brickell Avenue financial district, the Miami Art Museum, and many other central attractions. Passengers can transfer to the Metrorail to venture north and south. The Port of Miami is near downtown, as are three ethnic enclaves: Little Haiti, Little Havana, and Liberty City, the historic African-American neighborhood.
