Restaurant food and service was excellent! The staff was helpful friendly and above par. Pool, spa, and rooms couldn't have been more perfect. Highly recommend to anyone for a affordable luxury boutique hotel. The shrimp tacos are to die for.
This is perhaps the first hotel in Mazatlan, and it was indeed its first skyscraper in the early 40s. Thus, the building feels a bit antiquated, but renovations have left it contemporary. Elevators are TINY and very noisy, typical of their time, I guess. Front desk personnel is friendly, very accommodative. Restaurant waiters are ok. Breakfast there is usually included in your booking: buffet style but don't expect wide selection nor great taste. Remember this is a far from the prime tourist area hotel, so there are no crowds usually. The hotel is part of the old town itself, so it is a very convenient location if you wish to explore this part of town (which I highly recommend) instead of the tourist hot spots. Beach in front must be avoided, as sewage pipes (or what looks like one) ends up there for some reason. Try instead the rooftop pool (be early and secure a spot, as it is also VERY SMALL), it has gorgeous views, and I really mean it.

This place is a great place to stay and explore the lovely Old Town Area of Mazatlan. Large comfortable rooms , with kitchen and seating area, a beautiful and relaxing courtyard, close to restaurants ,bars and entertainment. Only draw back us it can get noisy in front rooms on Friday and Saturday nights, just remember your ear plugs or get in and join the fun.
At the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountains, across from the southern tip of Baja California, Mazatlan is known as the “Pearl of the Pacific.” In the first years of the 21st century, Plaza Machado, Mazatlan’s historic and cultural center, has been restored to its 19th century glory. Ringed by open-air restaurants and cafes, the only through-street is closed to traffic Thursday-Saturday evenings.
