I wasn't sure what to expect based off all of the reviews previous that complained of thin walls or whatnot. I didn't notice. The hotel itself has a beautiful front lobby. Yes, there is valet parking, but it has an entrance to the mall parking(was like $10 for the night). It's wonderfully located in Little Tokyo. The beds were comfortable beyond belief. Much nicer than the other hotel we had stayed at the night before. Will recommend and stay at again.
I had a great stay at this hotel overall. The property is gorgeous and comfortable and the staff is great. Every single staff member I dealt with or even casually ran into in a hallway was warm and welcoming.
The rooms are simple and clean but they are pretty run-down. I think they could use an upgrade.
If you're staying in downtown LA and aren't looking for overly fancy rooms, this hotel is great value for the money.

Great hotel, walking distance to almost anything you need. Very clean, and the rooms were nice. Parking is $40 per day which was a little steep IMO. The only thing I want to point out is be aware you will essentially be going to the bathroom audibly with anyone else that is staying in the room with you. When the bathrooms were designed, privacy was the least of their concerns. There is only a slider door that doesn't even fully close. You might as well invite all occupants of your room to join you in the bathroom because they will be hearing every sound you make.
