A great location in Downtown LA. The hotel is very minimal and basic with a cool vibe - from the lobby to the roof. With this cool vibe is a cost for being cool - overnight parking and bars are a bit pricey. The staff is great and will help out with any small details. The roof top evening parties are getting a little old - a strange mix of suburban, 20 somethings, and Europeans on vacation. The hotel is a good base to walk to various points in downtown.
When my BF and I first arrived at the hotel at nighttime, we were greeted by the friendly staff. When we got to the room, it seemed very small in comparison to other hotels, and the bathroom was very basic, but clean, so no complaints. They include breakfast vouchers for every morning that you stay there, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I didn't get to check out the facilities, but I did see an NBA star in the elevator on his way up to the basketball court so i'm sure they are fantastic, but overall I would definitely stay there again, although downtown LA is very sketchy at nighttime.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this place. I booked it because everything in the downtown area was sold out or had astronomically high prices due to the convention in town. I am glad I did! The suite was huge and lived up to the "executive" label. I was definitely blown away by it even after seeing the pictures online. Normally you expect the pictures to oversell the experience, but in this case they did a good job or even understated it. The staff was friendly and attentive, and other than room service and a bar/restaurant onsite, it provided everything you normally look for in the way of hotel services. The kitchen is amazing, and with the balcony, dining area, and living room, there is plenty of room and everything you need to settle in and feel at home. There is also a clean and full service grocery store a couple of blocks away.
