"Great location in downtown and hotel with Mayan Ch"
I like the location, amenities, and the staff but the room is outdated so is the hotel. The hotel has a lot of different amenities such as swimming pool, breakfast included, massage place, salsa studio, karaoke bar, restaurant, salon, and mini theater for local play. However, The hotel had problems with water pump. The hotel didn't have water twice when we stayed there. Also the hotel has a bar/restaurant and were very loud on Friday night until around 4:00 am so I couldn't sleep that night. Overall, the location and the unique design of this hotel are the reason why we stayed and it was our first time to try this hotel.

Xbalamque is a beautiful Mayan Themed Hotel smartly located in downtown CancunMore
The hotel is beautifully designed and excellent for the price. It's a bit far from the beach, but the hotel provides a shuttle to the beach. The bus system is also pretty simple. If you get that down, you could go anywhere.
The wifi wasn't the greatest in our room, but it got the job done. If you really need it, the hotel has a conference room with computers for guests - the wifi works best here.
The hotel is located near the Downtown area, so there are quite a few good restaurants just a few minutes by cab.
Borders on posh. Very clean! Great price. Had a taxi called for us and he was there 15 minutes early because that is what Suites Gaby requests. Staff we met was more than curteous and helpful to "gringos".

Also known as El Centro, Cancun Downtown is where locals live and shop. Plaza las Americas is an American-style shopping center with large department stores and small specialty shops. Mercado Veintiocho (Market 28), an open-air flea market, is an alternative to the chain shops. Tourists often venture into area supermarkets for souvenirs and liquor. Plaza de Toros features weekly bullfighting.
