This is a place where to go if you want luxury no fuss and a place to relax after working to hard. Beautiful, quiet, cozy, charming... However if you want to stay in Buzios for longer, explore and be more in the traveler spirit you can go and stay somewhere cheaper because you will be on the beach all day anyway...
I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is in the centre of things. Spacious room with good air con and helpful staff . Very good breakfast. A few gripes - the shower had terrible water pressure so you have to wait to get wet! Also quite a lot of noise from the street at night, but other than that I would recommend.
Really lovely place, we spent 6 days here and were really pleased with everything. Only a short walk to the centre and beaches, its perfectly located. Delicious and extensive selection for breakfast, especially pancakes and fresh fruit and juices. Very pretty and excellently maintained gardens, lovely pool and nicely decorated generous rooms. Staff kept everywhere spotlessly clean, even during a tropical rain storm. Great value for money.

"Nice hotel, beach side, but can't swim on beach. "
Great pousada!! Next to beach and restaurants. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and nice beaches. Also, access to water taxy and boats. Facilities were good with great view of boats but shower was difficult to regulate for hot water. Staff was great!

For the price it wasn't worth it, friends of ours just turned up and found a much better place and cheaper. But it was clean enough and the staff were friendly.. so if you get the right price it would be worth it.
But the room was a bit smelly and it missed a little attention to detail (just poor planning when it was built I guess), I mean for example who designs a plug hole at the high end of the floor!? It leaves a large puddle all day... d'oh!
Downtown Búzios is the place to be for visitors in search of entertainment. Packed with clubs, restaurants, and shops, this beach resort is well-known for its dynamic nightlife. Guests can walk the Rua das Pedras in search of the perfect souvenir, or mingle with the VIPs at Privilège, the city's biggest nightclub. In July, the streets fill with music from the annual Jazz and Blues Festival.
