“Good if you have a planned trip”

good quality hotel, feels much more classy then the price suggests. The hotel staff are very dim, and are completely clueless about the area. No concierge service/tourist information desk at the hotel, so you are on your own.

“Great hotel, great location!”

From pictures on the website I had high expectations of this hotel. I was not disappointed in the least. The condition of our hotel room was first class. The location - about 500 metres from the main railway station and at the top of one of the city's main shopping streets - was brilliant. I will certainly be staying in this hotel on future visits to Dortmund.

“Great location w/ public transport close by”

Very pleasant stay right in the city with public transport (U-Bahn) across the street. The Pfefferkorn restaurant next door was plain pleasure, too!

“Random city break”

I chose this hotel to give my partner and I a nice break somewhere a little off the well trodden tourist trail. The proximity to the main shopping street is superb, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The road outside was busy but the double glazing was excellent so don't let that put you off, and the beds are firm but that suited us both! The local bars were also stumbling distance and so it was easy for me to chill while my girlfriend went shopping so we were both happy!

“Beautiful hotel”

This hotel looks amazing from the inside and out and the \comfort room was everything it needed to be. The bed was the only let down which wasnt too comfy.

“overall quite nice”

we arrived on a sunday night around 10pm asked at reception could we please have a coffee, and told the bar is now closed, and so we had to wait until morning as there was not even a vending machine to get a drink or snack, besides this the hotel was very good

“Good, clean Hotel with miserable staff!”

Great budget hotel in the heart of Dortmund. I stayed for 11 nights on business. The bed was hard but clean. The shower was great, a big positive for me. The price was incredible at an average of around £40 per night excluding breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, don't bother it's 10 euros and at best its continental with scrambled eggs. There are much better options within 5 mins walk of the hotel. You can't charge anything to your room such as drinks at the bar and the reception staff especially the women were surly bordering on rude. However given the position, the price and the nice clean rooms I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget.

“This hotel could be so much more.”

This Hotel could be so much more. This hotel has an ideal location at the end of the main shopping street in Dortmund. It has been remodeled from an old office building and generally they have done a good job. The rooms are ornate and clean. however, it is the finishing touches where this hotel falls short. The staff is uncaring and cold. They could care less. When I checked in I was running on 2 hours sleep and was told the room was not ready and check in time was 2 pm. I asked them to please do what they could to get a room ready and they didnt try at all. The rooms are poorly lit with flourescent lights that are dim and take a long time to warm up. The king bed has two tiny flat pillows on it. it could use 4 more or larger ones. Bath towels are thin and not luxurious at all. The closet had 4 hangers in it. There was no desk lamp and the bedside lamps which were a slightly larger wattage were very low making them useless for reading. There is a fridge in the room but no minibar. If you want a drink on off hours, forget it. I checked in Saturday. By that evening both elevators were broken on the third floor which was my floor. You had to take the stairs down or go across the hotel to the side elevators. they were still broken when I checked out Tuesday. The managment needs to pay closer attention to the guest experience. This hotel could no problem be the best hotel in town if they would just pay attention to the details, but they dont.
