Really nice, clean, modern hotel.

Posted 11-Sep-2014
For a young couple in our early 20's this hotel was a perfect little escape for a couple of nights to celebrate 1 year together. It is very close to the city centre and 5 minutes walk from Bournemouth pier. The food at the Arbor restaurant located in the hotel came well recommended so we decided to try it out, the food was faultless and the service was also very good. Definitely worth paying a little extra for. Overall a very good experience.

a nicely presented hotel

Posted 09-Sep-2014
Pros: the room
Cons: availability of menu items. a 4 star hotel that has no sea food is not good
Location: didn't
the room was fine. we had a problem with the restaurant that ran out of everything that we wanted. the replacements were not good. we complained but the issue was not resolved until the next morning when i talked to the general manager who agreed to refund the full cost of the dish in question

Very nice hotel, great location for town and beach

Posted 21-Aug-2014
Pros: Fairly contemporary unfussy decor. Good food in the restaurant.
Cons: Bathroom large and spacious but not very practical. More flat surfaces to put things on would help. Both bedside lights were controlled by one switch.
Enjoyable one night stay (could happily stay for a bit longer). Our room was comfortable and well appointed although some noise (bathroom) could be heard coming from the room upstairs during the night. The staff were friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to town and beach.

Short break

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Noise levels in the rooms. Paper this walls.
Location: Beach - BIC - main town
well located hotel. Walking distance to main attractions. Excellent rooms however, they are very noisy. Walls are paper thin and we were above the bar and the main entrance and were disturbed constantly through the night by noise whether it was someone snoring or coughing in the room next door to people coming and going through the front entrance. We could hear the bar music - although it want loud it was heard. Breakfast was good and staff were helpful.

Excellent hotel with green credentials.

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: The building, the decor, the doors, the wall paper, the bar was stylish and comfortable. chairs and sofas. Front of house staff. Fab marble bathroom
Cons: Breakfast staff
Location: Location perfect for Sea front, Russell Cotes Gallery
Attractive hotel, contemporary, stylish and comfortable with Green credentials. Lovely doors and wallpapaer! Helpful staff, we had to be at a wedding at 1 pm but check in is 3 pm. I rang to ask if we could come to the hotel to change and they said they would find us somewhere, no problem. In fact when we arrived at 12 they checked us in to our room and the staff on the desk, were expecting us. As it was very hot they left a note re leaving the blind down, the window open, and a spare sheet in case we wanted to sleep under a sheet rather than the duvet. Brilliant! They don't have air-con for environmental reasons, but supple a fan if needed. My only grumble was breakfast was a bit unfriendly and they forgot our scramble eggs, which was a shame.
