not that bad of a place

Posted 01-Oct-2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: the lift
Location: to many drunk people
looks better in the photos but don't they all would have liked a room with a view but the car park looked lovely close to the sea front but it is a bit of a walk to get down to it.

Last minute booking!

Posted 30-Sep-2014
Pros: The price!
Cons: The socket for our tv didn't work. Ventilation wasn't great, the window didn't open much?
Location: We were opposite the beach but with no access to the beach so we drove to the town centre and parked in the carpark and enjoyed a day on the beach.
This was a last minute booking as we were invited to a 50th birthday and decided we would prefer to stay over rather than driving back. We had to settle for a double room without a view as that was all that was available and for how long we were going to be there it really didn't matter. Our room was small / basic but the bathroom was quite large, modern and bright. Our breakfast was very good and set us up for the day! Overall a good experience.

Faded hotel but across road from beach

Posted 17-Sep-2014
Pros: It's location. Was able to park (limited, but I got a space). Staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: Decor is old and not appealing. Needs a complete refurbishment as it's dated and not elegant.
Location: Across the road from the beach. Russell Coates Museum. Great brasserie in it's sister hotel.
I was just there for one night in a single room, that was really a box room. Didn't mind that as one night only but bllind in bathroom was full of dust when I rolled it down and I didn't dare look too closely at anything else in case it was dirty. Room light a bit dim. Location is great for the beach. Breakfast was good. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Nice staff and location, dated hotel

Posted 12-Sep-2014
Leaky taps, creaky floorboards that keep you awake, paper thin walls, dated decor all add up to a hotel that needs money invested. The staff, location and breakfast were all very good, shame about the building

Small room for family.

I have booked the hotel in the last minute. I know I only paid almost half price of the room and we were put on the disable room. The bunk bed were noisy and not safe. The linen was dirty and smelly. The bed were very uncomfortable and uneven. I am glad we only booked for 1 night. The only good thing about our stay was the breakfast and the staff were nice and friendly.

For a last minute booking, we were very pleased with the service the hotel offered. The location was very close to the pier and amenities.
