“great for old gits”

Hotel caters for old people on coach trips. One very small lift means that you have to wait for ages at busy periods. Otherwise all OK - staff are good, room clean & tidy but very small. Breakfast was fine and bar staff were a good laugh...

“impressed for the price”

rooms nice and looked recently decorated. good views of the sea from balcony. breakfast could do with bit of improvement. but overall great value hotel.

“Glad we were changed”

Booked the Suncliff Hotel but we were moved next door to the Cumberland which we were very pleased with. We were able to use the indoor pool of the Suncliff.

“Good value for money”

The room we were given was small and in need of decoration as there was wallpaper peeling away and in places torn off. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good so in all good value for money.

“Not so nice!”

The hotel is in a nice location but we got a very small room with a view on the back of the hotel...the room was really dark and really hot! Once the window was opened some fan was going on all night and kids slaming doors next door. I mentioned to the front desk the next day and they were really helpful and moved us to a better room for the rest of our stay! I wonder why they didn't put us in a nice room in the first place!! The staff is friendly and breakfast was nice...

“Great hotel, quite a walk from the town, pier (8 mins)”

Ideal location if you want away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Perfect for older couples, right on the sea front, lovely scenery.

“I'd choose it again”

Service and food excellent. Entertainment added bobus. Leisure facilties were disappointing, jacuzzi closed, sauna not on one day, swimming pool could do with a steam clean and pool complex needs attention. The Hotel was clean and the staff faultless. However I think it would benefit from brightening up although clean the colour scheme made it dark. Overall good value.

Beaches are great but you have to descend the cliff first. Beulieu a good day out even if raining.

“good value for the money”

we had a very pleasant stay at the Suncliff. We had a very nice modern ,clean room. The bed was rather bumpy and would do with replacing.We enjoyed very good freshly cooked and well presented breakfast and found the staff to be very helpful and polite.We would happily return.

“First Class Staff, disappointing hotel condition”

Hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Hotel itself looked tired. Room needed updating and redecorating. Damp and Mold issue in bathroom needs addressing. Overall pleasant enough stay. Great location and good rates.
