Lovely weekend spent in the sandbanks hotel

Posted 29-Jun-2014
The staff were exceptionally friendly and the hotel itself although looking a little but tiered was very clean and comfortable. The outside terrace means you don't have to venture farad there can't be anywhere on the beach more comfortable.

Great location for the beach

Posted 10-Jun-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Some of the decor is a little dated, i.e. the bathroom, whilst clean & tidy, could do with an update
Lovely weekend, wonderful location, great for Poole & Bournemouth

Superb hotel rooms with balcony over looking beach

Posted 18-Apr-2014
Pros: Beautiful room with ajoining balcony for sitting out side, stage shows are spectacular & staff are very welcomming
Cons: more adult evening stage performances through out the week or at weekends
Location: fantastic beaces and coast line, great for sailing & swimming
Superb rooms with balconies overlooking the coast line. I would also highly recommend the evening entertainment show as this was extremely professional and the whole cast performed amazingly; Crazy Chaela came across remarkably talented as her dancing & singing was really awe inspiring. I would like to take the opportunity to thank her and all the performing artists involved for delivering such a stunning stage performance, as it made my stay a very happy and memorable one. Beautiful hotel and surroundings **Highly recommended** Thank you

Excellent location, but .......

Posted 06-Apr-2014
Pros: The size of the room, the location of the hotel & the pleasing manner of the staff
Cons: The shabby exterior.
Location: Only there for a weekend, with a four year old so the beach was the main attraction.
Our room was large & had a great view of the harbour. My 4 year old granddaughter loved the small indoor pool & the beach being just outside. Sadly, the hotel badly needed a bit of TLC - the whole exterior needed a coat of paint, which surprised me as we were there at the beginning of the summer season, but it did look shabby. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. The best aspects of this hotel are it's location & the really pleasant (& mainly young) staff.

Nice location but tired

Posted 02-Mar-2014
Pros: Location next to the beach
Cons: Almost everything needs investment
Location: As with all my hotels stays... I am in and out!
This is just one of those British hotels. Tiny soap. Awful bed. Thin walls. Tired decor. Not awful in anyway but not good in any way either. Friendlier staff than average but otherwise... very average.

Sandbanks Hotel pretty average.

Posted 23-Dec-2013
Pros: Location. Spacious room.
Cons: New carpets in the corridor of room 230
Location: Beach side location, fabulous views. Poole and Bournemouth within easy reach. Compton Acres just up the road. Nearby restaurant is Loch Fyne.
Initially we were unable to get into our room as the key card wasn't working, so after going back and forth to reception and getting a member of staff to also check we were given another room (not seaview but that wasn't really an issue as there was no other choice). The carpets in the corridor were smelly and stained. However, the bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The cocktail from the bar was pretty unexciting (no garnish) not worth the £7 paid. The buffet breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice. Great views and welcoming staff.
