Enjoyable stay

Comfortable hotel. We stayed in club room. Little old fashion. Frosted windows so no view. Electric plug in radiator. We did have a lovely breakfast. Nice atmosphere in the hotel. Although few negatives we Would stay again.

I would recommend this hotel, the leisure area is great and the treatment we had was lovely - very relaxing. The rooms we had were huge! The buffet style dinner was a good reasonable choice and you can have as much as you like 3 courses.

Perfect week end break

The room was adequate, although we felt we were in converted live in quarters at the far end of the hotel. Downside to this was the constant rumble of a pump or generator all night. Electric oil filled radiators left on stairs by fire exits were a bit of worry too, trip hazard! This said, the food and all of the other hotel facilities were outstanding and we had a brilliant week end!

Pros: Swimming pool spa area
Location: Good location right in centre loads of restaurants and shops nearby
Stayed 4 nights , everything was good the hotel is large and has great facilities . We used the spa a lot the pool is great . Staff are very friendly and helpful . Overall great stay . Buzzing hotel

Pros: The only thing I liked about this hotel was the fact that it's location was within walking distance to were I needed to go.
Cons: To be frank, either do a total radical makeover and spend millions or pull it down.
Having stayed at this hotel 7 years ago (under different ownership) I chose this hotel as I knew it was near to the conference I was attending. I arrived to be told that the car park would cost me £20 for 24hrs but there were cheaper car parks nearby. I chose to use the hotel car park. The reception staff were friendly and handed me a A4 piece of paper with times of breakfast and the cost for using the pool and gym! Never had to pay to use a hotel pool and gym before so I didn't bother! The hotel 7 years ago was lovely, a bit dated but very comfortable, we stayed there for a wedding. However, on this visit I found the hotel could do with total makeover. My bedroom was on the ground floor on the corner of the road. It was noisy. Also my room was cold and the duvet on the bed was thin. The towels in the bath room would have been the right size for my 5 year old but for an adult they were too small and also worn out. There was no towelling robe either. Breakfast was not much better either. Background noise from the local radio station was played while we consumed our cold cooked breakfast!

Nice hotel shame about the room locks

Pros: Leisure facilities, food and staff.
Cons: Some decorating on communal areas but the door key system is a must.
Location: Close to the sea front and town centre shops. Close to the pier and pubs. Next door to museum Really good location.
The hotel is very large and old so long walks to the rooms. Very clean, first room lock failed. Called reception from the corridor, no answer. Walked back to reception changed rooms. New room lock key failed the next day and twice the following day. It is never the systems fault, it is either you stored the key next to your phone or you wiped it by having it next to other cards, news flash.... The card was separate...admit that the room card system is rubbish. Room opposite walked out of their room turned around as they had forgot something and could not get back in. Breakfast was great and plentifully, kept up with demand well. Buffet evening meal was good value and really nice. Rooms clean and could be re cleaned every day by leaving your make up room sign on the handle. The swimming pool and spa was great, I feel the cost should be included in your room as should the towels. Treatments were good and punctual.

Rude staff/ club & city rooms very basic

Booked through expedia & hotel didn't receive booking from them, so would advise checking with hotel if using 3rd party before your arrival. Hotel Staff we're not very friendly/ helpful. Beware of club/ city rooms as very small, not very clean and some club rooms don't even have windows as in basement with low ceilings, very warm as no air ventilation. Good things hotel has great location and breakfast was good.

Sorry Royal Bath Hotel, I remember you has the best 5 star in Bournemouth! Anyone who was anyone wanted to stay there and enjoy the 5 star luxury.....but OMG what has happened? We checked in, paid for the car parking...., noticed that you had to pay to use the pool (why?) spent 20 mins trying to find our room, in the 'new wing' - but was so disappointed. It was tiny and looked nothing like the picture on the internet and no way were we going to sleep in that bed! So we just called reception and cancelled and got a full refund... Ended up in the Cumberland, in a luxury sea view, best breakfast ever at the same price....

Schönes Hotel in guter Lage

Traditionelles Hotel in zentraler Lage. Wer englisches Flair und morbiden Charme liebt, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Service und Freundlichkeit des Personals waren allerdings nicht besonders ausgeprägt. So konnte man beim Einchecken bereits unsere Reservierung nicht finden. Bis zu einer kundenfreundliche Lösung dauert es dann über 30 Minuten.
