“Okay”

While the price for the area was a bargain, there is a disparity between the pictures on the site and the room that I received. I was given an interior ring room, which are smaller than the outer ring rooms, and not quite as nice. The Hotel does NOT offer currency exchange as advertised, and the cable/satellite TV is limited to 5 channels. The staff however are extremely friendly and helpful, and that is what makes this hotel someplace I would stay again.

“cheap and cheerful”

This hotel has everything you need for a cheap weekend break. It is in need of some attention re. decor etc. but the staff are friendly and it is perfectly located for clubs, restaurants etc. The choice at breakfast was excellent (a perfect hangover breakfast). Seems popular with people who are in Bournemouth for a night out and it is perfect for this purpose.

“There breakfast was great but it takes a long time the clear the room if you are not checking out”

There TV is so out of date and no interesting channels to watch. The staff are always very helpfull and alway ready to help. but the hostel needs some upgrading.

“I would never stay here again...”

The only thing this hotel has going for it is it's location, in the heart of Bournemouth square, which might be a plus if this is important to you. Aside from that, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Upon entering, the bathroom had body hair on the floor and in the shower. The walls were paper thin, and I was kept awake until sunrise with the noise of the elevator going up and down, and people opening and closing (and slamming) their doors. I would never stay here again. Ever.

“Clean but not impressed”

Executive rooms have only jacuzzi to justify their name. Small, uncomfortable and VERY cold. When I asked why the heating was not working, they said it was broken and would work the next day (it didn't). Asked for extra blankets (they took them back the next day). Apart from convenient location, no other reason to visit this hotel. Would not recommend.

“Be careful what room you book!”

If you book this hotel, make sure you choose your room carefully. I booked and paid for two rooms 7 months in advance. One was OK - the other absolutely dreadful - cramped, dingy and uncomfortable. The hotel was also over-run with noisy children - it was the venue for a travellers wedding reception which, according to reception staff, is a regular occurence.

“Room quality”

The rooms at the Roundhouse are very old in decoration, creating quite a depressing place to relax. The beds were very uncomfortable, having springs pressing into your back which ever way you lie. One of the good parts was the very good shower. It doesn't look like much but they are very powerful.

“one of the worst values ever !!”

This hotel needs to be avoided at all costs. It is in dire need of refurbishment. I suspect the springs will pop through the bed mattresses quite soon. The staff are entirely indifferent and the food is attrocious.
