“I would never stay here again...”
The only thing this hotel has going for it is it's location, in the heart of Bournemouth square, which might be a plus if this is important to you. Aside from that, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Upon entering, the bathroom had body hair on the floor and in the shower. The walls were paper thin, and I was kept awake until sunrise with the noise of the elevator going up and down, and people opening and closing (and slamming) their doors. I would never stay here again. Ever.
“great location”
Great location. Hotel is do for remodel, but our large outer room had a comfortable bed and the price was great.
“my experience with that hotel made me think many times before booking a non-chain hotel”
the room was too cold and I couldn't sleep, till I called room service for extra blankets and an external heater. the sheets were not clean, and we asked the hotel to chance them for us!! the people working there are very friendly, but THE HOTEL IS TOTALLY NOT RECOMMENDED.
“Excellent value”
I've stayed here regularly over the past couple of years and the hotel provides excellent value (good breakfast, parking and internet were all included in the rate I paid). On the noisy side and rather dated decor but my only real criticism would be the stuffiness in some of the rooms.
“Extremly dissappointed”
First impressions of the hotel offer you a feeling of an out of date hotel, a poorly designed car park, (will note you don't have to pay for its one bonus), the instant smell of carpet cleaner hits you as soon as you walk through doors, then my twin room became a double, not exactly what i requested. The bed was reasonably comfortable, although the one pillow, was not, and the ratty wooly blanket they offered was fought over. Although we did not feel cold all night. There was a televison in the room, with a remote control that was held together by tape, which decided when and when not it would work, the channels on offer, 1-5 normal channels, 6-10 sky, what sky who knows? The reality was only we had only channels 1-6 available at night, 1-5 in the morning, which was a very early morning as, the paper thin windows and walls let every noise imaginable in, and the light switch for the toliet being on the wrong side of the door meant you flooded the room with light on entering and leaving. No wardrobe, no extra blankets or pillows available in the room, towels the size of postage stamps, were available, although on closer inspection, not clean. The hotel was a maze of stairs, and corridors, that seemed to lead nowhere, when you at least reached reception, you were greeted with staff the clearly did not want to be there, breakfast was completly a guess, nothing with labels, but all cooked in oil, and left to sit for hours,
“good value hotel”
There was no problems with the hotel or service. The location is about £3.80 away from the Bic but walkable to town. The hotel had very rude noisy guests the night we stayed who ran up and down and banged on doors for ages but not the hotels fault. Breakfast was ok but it would be nice to cater for health freaks like me, porridge, fresh fruit and yoghurts would be lovely.
“The worst hotel I've ever stayed in”
I travel frequently with my job on cheap rates so I'm very used to coping with budget hotels. That said, this has to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Most of the reception staff were unhelpful - prefering to talk to each other rather than serve the growing queue of customers, the breakfast crew were simply rude and we even saw one member of staff reduce another to tears. The lift didn't work, neither did the internet and the cooked breakfast was foul (either watery & flavourless or overcooked and dry), the coffee undrinkable. Decor was dated throughout but we hoped it would add some quirkiness when we were booking - how wrong we were. The taps in our room only worked if you turned them in the opposite direction. Our room wasn't cleaned in the entire time we stayed there. The carpeted walls had peeled off and were left hanging. The window wouldn't close so we were forced to endure the street traffic through the night (very loud) which was ok compared to having to endure the stag party in the adjacent room who finally went quiet at 5.30 in the morning. Each time the night manager was called they would laugh & carry on. The hotel's response in the morning was 'oh well it was a stag night' treating us as if we were unusual for complaining. My simple recommendation is- chose somewhere else to stay.
“You get what you pay for”
i would normally book into a travel lodge / motel type place for a one night business stay. but this hotel was cheaper, and with free parking, free wi-fi and a very central location it was a better deal. as others have said, rooms are a bit dated but ours was clean enough. Bathroom was again dated, but very clean. the room smelt strongly of smoke - even though is was a non-smoking standard room. this was so bad that we went out and purchased a can of air freshner to spray the room! buffet style breakfast was average quality, but at this price you cant complain. the free wi-fi worked fine too. I would reccomend this for one or two nights if you just need to get your head down. at the end of the day you get what you pay for and this hotel is priced just right in that respect. cheap and cheerful.
“Roundhuse nur fuer Gäste ohne Ansprüche”
Das Hotel ist sehr stark renovierungsbedüftig- die Zimmer abgewohnt und schmutzig. Sanitänre Einrichtungen defekt - teils verrostet. Schmutzige und durchgelegene Matratzen. Nur für sehr bescheidene Ansprüche wenn ein guenstiger tarif gewünscht ist.
“Hôtel agréable”
Chambre correcte, parking réservé, bonne situation proche de la mer.
