“Excellant Hotel”
The Ramada is in a good position close to all the Town's attractions. No traffic noise and generally quite. Good quality breakfast with plenty of choice. Friendly staff. Secure parking. Good size rooms. In all what more could you want from a Hotel at this price.
“Excellent location”
Hotel was located a few minutes walk from the beach and pier in one direction and close to bars and restaurants in the other direction. There was plenty of parking and we were even allowed to leave the car for a couple of extra hours after checking out so that we could do some shopping which was perfect. The room was spacious and very comfortable with all the amenities you would need including wifi. Loved the bathroom which was very modern. Breakfast was very good which included cereals, fruit, full English with eggs, bacon etc coffee/tea and fruit juices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would have loved to stay longer but would certainly choose this hotel again for our next visit.
“i would not go to any other hotel in Bournemouth”
I have stayed in this hotel 5 times, because it is a newish hotel it is very modern, the staff are all very pleasent. The rooms are very clean .
“One word springs to mind 'spartan'.”
The hotel is modern, with spacious rooms and a short walk to both the town centre and beaches. The star rating is justified, although the room tariff is at the high end for what you get. Although relatively clean and tidy, it's just a bit to 'cold' and spartan, putting you in mind of a local authority building or hospital. The breakfast is adequate, but uninviting, laid out as it is, like a school canteen.
“Excellent location and value for a short break”
Lived up to expectations and is on all main bus routes so very convenient. Excellent value for money and really good breakfast
“Nothing special”
The Ramada is not as bad as many of the other hotels in Bournemouth, but nevertheless absolutely nothing special. The rooms are rather spacious but not extraordinarily clean - we did find some hairs in the badroom as well as plenty of waterstains on fixtures and fittings. Okay, but not excellent. The room we were given had a (locked) connecting door, which might be good for families but not so much for us - our neighbours were quite loud and enjoyed kicking the door at 6 am after a night out. Not exactly ideal - would be nice if the hotel would seperate stags/hens (of which there are plenty on a saturday in Bournemouth) and normal guests. Breakfast is ok, staff overly active (somewhat rude) in clearing tables. Service was below par for the hotel class, breakfast juices of very poor quality. Fresh fruit and cooked breakfast were quite good. Airconditioning was locked at automatic and extremely cold. All in all not a bad choice for anyone wanting to stay in Bournemouth but nothing we would recommend or visit again.
“Very impressed and recommended”
We booked our room through Expedia and got an excellent weekend deal including breakfast for a queenbed room. Our room was large and pristine, very well equipped with tea/coffee facilities, ironing board, hairdryer etc. Although the rooms have wood flooring, we did not hear our neighbours or anyone else in the hotel. We didn't expect this to be the case and with a Stag party sharing the hotel we thought we might have been disturbed. We thought the buffet breakfast was excellent, choice of fruit, cereal, cooked breakfast or pastries were plentiful and re-stocked regularly. All of the staff at the hotel very extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble, the guy on check out seemed genuinely pleased that we had had such a good time. The hotel has plenty of FREE parking for every guest, this is something that is often not included in the price in Bournemouth. We were able to check out and leave our car there for a few hours while we went down to the beach. Reception booked us 2 meals out (there are only snacks available at the hotel) and we used their 10% discount scheme at these restaurants, I think there was a choice of 10 places to eat and we were pleased with The Mandarin Chinese and The Coriandar Mexican, both in easy reach of the hotel. The hotel is central to everything, Bournemouth town, the beach, many shops and restaurants and I would recommend staying here to anyone.
“Could be warmer”
Overall we were very satisfied with Ramada Encore Bournemouth. Our only problem was the room was extremely cold on arrival - the temperature outside was below zero - and the air con/ heating unit was not sufficient for the size of room and noisy. The breakfast was very good, and staff were pleasant. We would consider staying there again.
“Not as good as the reviews on here suggest...”
The hotel was very basic and there were a lot of stag and hen dos there. The biggest issue we had was the noise when the toilet was flushed. This was mentioned to reception and they said they were aware of it but they did nothing to rectify the problem.
“Good place in Bournemouth”
Our room was by the elevators. but we were not disturbed and the room was very quiet and had good curtains so that it could be made dark for sleeping. The bed was comfortable and the linens were clean and crisp. The bathroom was very clean with a good shower. The only complaint was the noise the plumbing made when the toilet was flushed and it seems to have been a problem in all the rooms as we could hear other toilets being flushed. Not to be expected for a three year old renovation. The breakfasts were very good - buffet style with a good selection of hot and cold food. The hot food was being constantly replenished so there was no waiting. The dining room and bar is decorated in "airport terminal" style, so although it was good for breakfast, it wasn't a comfortable or relaxing place to have an evening drink. With some thought, an area could be set aside for drinks only and made to feel more welcoming. The location is good for the seafront - only a 5 minute walk to the front and the town centre and 10 minutes from the railway station. All in all an enjoyable place to stay and we would certainly use this hotel again.
