Poor hotel

Posted 19-Jan-2015
Booked a double but got a twin. Room smelt like bleach. Small bathroom. Decor in poor condition in the room. Room was not cleaned properly with a dirty towel in cupboard and a fake eyelash on the floor. Other customers were noisey coming back late at night, but can't blame the hotel for that.

Very good hotel for the weekend

Posted 01-Dec-2014
Pros: Just clean and tidy - exactly what you want from a hotel
Cons: Nothing. Very good
Location: Great location, 5 minute walk from the town, loads to do near the hotel
Fantastic hotel in my opinion, staff were friendly, clean room, comfortable beds, brilliant breakfast. Will visit the hotel again for sure

Friendly but tired

Posted 28-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. However the rooms and hotel in general is very tired and needs a bit of a spruce up. Room was clean though. I booked this on an offer so didn't pay that much, I'm glad I didn't pay full price as they would be getting a different review.

stay

The thing that spoilt it for my wife and I was the noise from young people from 2 am until about 4 am who were obviously very drunk. On a plus side the dinner were good. Room a bit small but I got the stay at a discount price. All in all stay was good.

Old Hotel Popular with Young People

Posted 12-Oct-2014
Pros: Breakfast was good.
Cons: The hotel is a bit run down and needs updating.
Location: It is near to the sea front and the cliff railway down to the beach.
When we arrived at the front of the hotel we found the car park full. The receptionist told us there was a large car park at the back. This car park was full the next morning and it was difficult tt get out of some of the spaces. All the public spaces and our room were clean and reasonably furnished. Our room was too small for a double and was probably a single room with a small double bed. We had made a late booking and Bournemouth was very busy due to the Marathon. The bathroom was satisfactory but the bath was too high for us oldies to get out of safely. Dinner was spoilled as we only went in to the dining room a few minutes before 8 when they finished. The food had obviously been in the Bain Mari since dinner started at 6. We did not get to sleep until after 2 as every few minutes a noisy crowd of merry young people arrived.

Pros: nice reception staff and the maintenance staff also not for getting the people who keep the bedrooms and bathrooms clean and tidey in my room
Cons: the whole hotel needs a major clean and needs to be redecorated
Location: bourenmouth is great but this hotel had nothing to do near by
