Great hotel in Bournemouth

Posted 04-Sep-2014
Lovely hotel, we were a bit wary after reading other reviews but actually found this to be the best hotel in Bournemouth that we have stayed in. Our room 118 was extremely modern and clean. Hotel staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious.

Nice hotel close to the beach and town centre.

Posted 01-Sep-2014
Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent for the beach and town centre.
Cons: The room at night was tropical. Asked for a fan on our 2nd night, which helped slightly.
We wanted a hotel which was close to the beach for the weekends Air Show. This hotel was ideally located and we were on the beach within 5-10 mins. We had a large family room, which consisted of a double and a single bed and a put up bed. The room was clean and the bathroom had a large double shower. The only downside was the room temperature at night. It was sweltering and no air. We had a roof below our window, so we didn't want to sleep with all the windows open. We asked for a fan the next evening, which they got for us and this helped (a little). Breakfast was buffet style and quite satisfactory. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a weekend break, due to its locality.

Nice location close to the beach and town centre

Posted 06-Aug-2014
Pros: Internet through Expedia
Cons: The cleaning in the room, as the carpet does not seem to be clean that much.
Location: Beach is with walking distance, restaurants and town centre about 10min walks. ideal for family lots of entertainment on the beach and city garden.
The staff at the hotel were wonderful, no question too great or small. Always willing to help out as best as they can. The dinning room staff were very helpful and we had a pleasant stay at the hotel. We enjoyed our short break in Bournemouth.

Dated, tired looking hotel.

Posted 06-Aug-2014
Cons: Family rooms need to be bigger. TV & remotes need updating. The range of Wi Fi service needs to be extended.
We had to locate our room (we weren't shown to where it was) Family room was very cramped. Very old television the remote control was missing. No Wi Fi in our room had to take laptop to reception bar area. Temperature control on the bath was difficult to use.

Close to beach

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Room was tired but clean and tidy, the biggest problem was the noisy young lads in the room above us. From 10pm onwards through most of the night it sounded like they were trying to come through the ceiling, even the window was shaking in the frame. I phoned the desk and complained the guy said he would go and talk to them, which seemed to work at first then they carried on, Friday night which was our last was the worst. We did not get much sleep thanks to these lads who obviously had a better time than us!. I complained to the hotel staff on checking out who apologised and said the lads would loose their surcharge which did not help us!. The only good thing was the weather was great, which was great for the beach but we didn't get a lot of sleep.
