“Weekend break”
Had a great relaxing weekend and look forward to going back sometime next year
“Bournemouth's jewell”
We stayed for a 3 night break. The Hotel is ideally situated for: The beach, The Town, Buses and great Restaurants. We parked the car and walked or caught the bus. All staff were immaculate, efficient, friendly and professional. The General Manager was in evidence and led from the front. The Hotel is well presented and very comfortable, the food of high standard and reasonably priced. All in all an excellent stay - we will go back and stay for longer next time.
“VERY DISAPPOINTING! NEVER AGAIN”
DISAPPOINTING! OVERATED! A 4 STAR ? BUT WAS MORE LIKE A 3 STAR!
“Proper Service”
If you are after a calibre hotel with very good facilities and superb staff, service, food and drink in a lovely location near to the beach and shops at the Westcliff end of Bournemouth, look no further. Perfect in every way. And I don't say that lightly.
“I would not go here if you are expecting a 4* Spa Hotel”
The hotel was obviously a very old hotel that had been refurbished with a budget! Though the walls had been repainted and carpets replaced there was still a 'tired and shabby' feel to the hotel, as there were obvious cracks in walls and ceilings. The room itself was adequate - clean and tidy, but very basic. The hotel has function facilities and rooms directly above the function room suffered from all the noise in the evenings The spa was not as expected - The ladies changing room was extremely small, and given the number of hen parties that were at the hotel there was limited numbers of lockers, only 2 toilet cubicles and one shower that did not look very clean. The spa facilities looked like they were after thought and were very much crammed into a small space, and again there were significant cracks in ceilings which needed plastering and painting. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was dissapointing. The items looked appetising on the menu, but was very bland and could've been a lot better. I would definitely not return to this hotel, nor visit the chain's other locations.
“Completely overated.”
Staff on the front desk seemed nice and friendly. Room however, was very hot, making our first night there very uncomfortable (it wasnt a warm weekend, it felt as though we were on top of a sauna). We slept with windows wide open despite the rain. Beds were comfortable, and other than a dirty toilet (rust stains perhaps I don't know), it was a nice room. After a day out exploring Bournemouth, we came back to find the cleaners had left our door ajar (we reported this on departure but no-one was that interested). Also the beds were made but none of our rubbish taken (we had left a bag of rubbish - clearly rubbish - next to the bin, and it was starting to smell). About half an hour after checkout I realised I'd left a cream beside the bed. I rang and asked them to check, which they promised to do. However when I came back , it didn't seem anyone had looked, and the cleaners had already thrown it away. I can understand that they can't keep every little thing that people leave behind, but I had called a very short time after leaving. Also, we had planned to book some spa treatments, but there were no available slots the entire weekend, I'd suggest all travellers book these before they arrive to avoid disappointment. It is highly unlikely I would return to this hotel.
“Very good stay”
First time I have stayed here for business, overall 100%. Very attentive staff and great food quality from a good selection on the menu. Bar staff very quick as was the food...again very nice staff. Breakfast was good quality and hot. Will stay there again without a doubt!
