“A great, modern hotel with an excellent gym. The evening meal was a let down though”

The hotel in terms of the room, general atmosphere, staff and the gym were excellent. The only down side was the location. It is a 10 minute taxi to get to the centre/beach. The evening meal was also very disappointing however the buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.

“A very comfortable hotel with great leisure facilities.”

Ideally located for us as we intended to travel around the Dorset coast. The hotel was clean and modern, the breakfast buffet was good, the leisure facilities were great with extensive gym, pool, spa and steam room, the sauna wasn't working. Very happy with the experience and would return to this hotel or try other Village hotels.

“My experience”

Very clean, quiet and friendly hotel in a good location for what we needed, however, it is located next to the hospital and about three mile from the beach. The local bus goes via the hotel so it is easy to travel to Bournemouth town. Located very near to a Burger king, Toby Carvery and Harvester. The leisure facilities are excellent with a good size indoor pool, sauna and steam room, fantastic gym and childrens area. I would recommend this hotel.

“Excellent wedding venue”

No request too great, no detail too small; a very good wedding venue, all made possible by excellent management. Food at wedding reception and evening disco very good. Hotel rooms good, bed excellent. Bathroom clean but towels grey and rough and surprised that no bathroom products provided except for broken foam soap dispenser. Electronic key entry into room proved a continuing problem - a nuisance at 1am. Would we return - YES.

“Village Bournemouth”

Great for weekend - hotel is a taxi ride into town but the facilities are excellent. Staff were very friendly.

“Frendliness of staff”

Everyone was very friendly. We were particulary impressed with the helpfulness of the young lady who served us breakfast & evening meal on New Years Eve. I do not recall her name but she was so good at her job that she excelled herself. :0)))

“Village”

Room was fine but a little disappointed with The Verve restaurant. Service was slow even though restaurant was not busy. Meals were not brought out together.

“Very noisy”

The hotel was VERY noisy. The doors to the rooms are sprung and bang shut. This was the first complaint. The second was that the guests above my room had a small child that literally ran up and down the length of the room until 1030pm...while I was trying to work. I asked for the staff to do something but it continued every night. In the end i checked out of the hotel two days early because of the noise. I had prepaid and lost that. Wouldn't go back there again even though the hotel was ok....but only ok, no more.

“Nor for families...”

It was meant to be a first time 'hotel experience' for a young one..who walked away not very impressed. Swimming poool adults only after 6 and not before 9. Breakfast was ill equipt and all of the bowls and plates were really greasy. the rooms are OK for a family but you are really cramped and the fold-out bed would suit 1 child only. I won't do this again

“Not impressed”

Bed was very uncomfortable and was 2 singles pushed together
