“friendly service excellent for young families”

we found this hotel very friendly and accomodating. we had to phone up 3 times on the way there as we were lost but the reception staff couldn't have been more helpful. the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. the children were welcomed and they had ample high chairs etc. the room was cleaned and towels changed everyday. location wise for young families it was perfect, with a short 10 minute stroll through a beautiful park to boscome beach and pier. the park had a cafe, miniture golf, gardens, and a water pump park which the kids loved! just around the corner there were plenty of shops to choose from to pick up supplies for the beach. there was also an excellent bus service which ran close to the hotel well into the evening. overall and excellent family holiday would highly recommend to anybody.

“Nice Hotel”

We've just returned ( 2Ad + 2Ch) from 4 nights in a family room here, and really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and clean, and serviced every day. The main plus points are: Great friendly staff- Brilliant Buffet breakfast-Good but peaceful location ( except seagulls, lol! ) -Nice indoor pool & any small problems quickly attended to. To be honest, the only minus points we found were- Rubbish 'low flow shower head- Two worn/soft single divans pushed together to form double. So to summarise, this Hotel which is only a 10 min walk to East Cliff zigzag is ideal for a relaxed stay and we would definitely return!

“A fine budget hotel”

Not particularly attractive from the outside and with a rambling maze of corridors showing signs of wear inside, the Carrington is actually a good budget hotel in a prime location. It has excellent facilities (including a decent a swimming pool) and plenty of parking (we arrived at 11pm and still got parked despite the hotel being full). Our room was large, clean and comfortable, and the late bar was a lifesaver, especially with pints of Tetley's Bitter on offer at roughly half-price. Breakfast had a huge amount of choice, and although self-service, there were plenty of helpful staff around to help us serve ourselves. Recommended, but be realistic - don't expect the Ritz!

“chris london”

stayed at the hotel before, the stay was just as good, my only gripes were that the bedroom looked tired but very comfortable, and the breakfast the second day was not very hot, otherwise a pleasant stay, would recommend

“Great short break”

This hotel is conveniently placed near the seafront and local attractions. The only problem was the room was VERY hot but we were blessed with great weather!! Great price for a family of 4 including breakfast. Book now and visit Bournemouth. It's beautiful!!

“It's OK”

In a quiet street near the centre the hotel is passable without being special. Our room was quite spacious and well appointed but quite a trek from the lift up and down short stairs between different sections of the hotel. The public areas were a bit gloomy, the pool though advertised as opening at 7am did not open until after 10. The breakfast was good and plentiful though could have done with more fresh fruit.

“Adequate for a weekend”

As other visitors have mentioned, bedroom and reception rooms were spacious, had been very smart but now a bit shabby in places, and very hot. (Windows open a crack only) . Dining room attractive, Breakfast excellent, service attentive - esp.unobtrusive help given to a group of blind diners. Children also well-treated. Bar was windowless and closed early by London standards, but it did serve one real ale.. It was fun to watch the visiting groups of dancers, bridge players and esp the fancy dress partiers. Location good for beach and town.
