Thankfully not in the center of town

Posted 20-Oct-2014
Pros: The quiet and peaceful rooms and public area. I was reading in a main public room with a view of the bay. Just perfect.
Cons: Nothing that I can think could be improved.
Location: The town rolls up the sidewalks for the winter. The Bridge Bar is a 5 min walk and has the best seafood chowder ever. Great lunch.
The staff is great. They are there when you need them and pretty much invisible when you don't need them. The property is well maintained and spotless, the rooms while older are in good shape and we slept well. Both dinner in their restaurant and breakfast were well prepared and tasty.

Have stayed here in the past and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Didn't eat in dinning room on this occasion but have enjoyed delicious meals in restaurant in the past. Breakfast was great and as always staff very friendly. Had a lovely room with sea view......very relaxing and bed comfortable.

See the Ocean from your Charming Room

Posted 08-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
Loved the location and the quaint decor of the hotel. Restaurant for dinner was excellent as was the dinner service. The fish dishes were excellent. Grumpy old man who checked us in and out was another matter but our overall opinion is still very favourable. Loved the view from our room and loved the room. The bathroom could use some updating. Breakfast plain but large so no complaints about it.

Nice hotel on Main Street

Posted 29-Aug-2014
Pros: Rooms were very spacious and lovely view over the sea.
Cons: Possibly having tea and coffee available in the room!
Location: Allingham Arms Hotel is next door where there's a lot of Country Music venues held.
Only there for one night, but it was very friendly. The bar was busy for meals so maybe would need to book if your eating in. Breakfast was good.
