My Son and I had a wonderful time at the hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful and very professional. The hotel is in a very convenient place to access the shops and town centre. I enjoyed the food in both the restaurant and bar and when it was raining I made full use of the gym and spa. I would just like to mention the receptionist on duty when we arrived and checked out.... she was an absolute pleasure!!
Arrived on Sunday night and was greeted by a friendly receptionist who booked me in without any fuss. Made my way to the room on the second floor (using lift facility) and found a clean and acceptable room. When I opened my suitcase, I found that a plastic bottle of lemonade I had stupidly put in there had burst and some of my clothes had got soaked - by the next morning they were showing a "tide mark". I enquired from the staff if there was a laundrette in the town, and they suggested I have a word with their own Laundry/Housekeeping. This I did and they kindly washed and dried the clothes and returned them to my room in a matter of hours - which was greatly appreciated. It was better than sitting watching your clothes going round and round in a washing machine for an hour on the first day of your holiday!! The breakfast which was included in the price was more than ample with the usual selection of Cereals/Fruit/Fruit Juice followed of course by the famous "Irish Fried Breakfast". So far I have eaten in the Restaurant one evening and the Menu was extensive and food cooked to perfection and by Irish standards, reasonably priced.
"Lough Eske is a pleasant, isolated redone castle"
This place is in the middle of nowhere. The castle was abandoned and rebuilt to look like the castle of old. We stayed in the cottage not in the castle itself. The room was very spacious. The facilities very nice. The hotel is very remote. There isn't much around. There are nice walking trails off site.
We were really impressed with the room and the club sandwich and cocktails were amazing at the restaurant for lunch. I think the stay was fair for the money we paid. The scenery of the hotel is gorgeous around the lake. The hotel staff were always very friendly.

AA HOTEL OF THE YEAR 2007/08 Situated 4 km from Donegal Town in the north west of Ireland - 4 Stars **** Harveys Point …More
Everything was perfect for me, travelling for work. Especially pleasing was the extremely comfy bed (it had me late one morning), the quiet location (I was at the rear) and the fact they had a smoking room :-)
