The room was very nice, if a little small by NA standards. Unable to supply me with an iron and ironing board, although I was initially told that they would deliver one. I later moved to another hotel in the area and found they also had a policy of no irons and ironing boards in the rooms but did supply one on the floor. Melia did not.
The food was good, the Schnitzel was excellent, with a little crispy coating. The service at the resturant was a little slow to take the order and get the food and wave down for the bill.
Overall I would recommend it, you are paying for the modern rooms though.
Although the hotel is not of 4* quality, it is a decent hotel and well worth the price for which it is advertized. The single room was a spacious one, the tv set was an unusually old one but the room was quite. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
Stayed here a week. The room was bigger than I expected and comfortable, but didn't have extra amenities like Kleenex and body lotion. The breakfast is not worth the price in my opinion - pretty poor selection, watery orange juice, and eggs from a mix.

The breakfast was yummy and the best thing about our stay. The air conditioner in our room leaked water (getting water in the carpet) and since our room faced the road, it was very loud if we opened the windows. However, we spent most of the day sightseeing anyway. It was very easy to get to the center of Vienna and for the price we paid I think we got our value!
The hotel is just a block from the train station that takes you to Vien (change train required). We stayed in a big room, very comfortable with a dinner table and small kitchen. Lots of shops near the train station.
We loved our stay here. The room was spacious and very comfortable. It was very cold outside and we actually had to turn the heat down a little because the room was already so warm. I had my laptop and the wired LAN connection was a blazing 149 Mbps, which was great for streaming movies when we stayed in the room. The train station is right across the street and runs every 2-3 minutes. We left the hotel and 15 minutes later we were at Rathaus enjoying the Christmas markets. The staff at the front desk was extremely polite and helpful when we asked questions. Breakfast was typical European style, but the food was hot and warming trays stayed full.
Beyond the Danube, Vienna’s largest postal district sprawls over nearly a quarter of the city’s land area. Closer to the centre is a newer, post-war zone called Donau City, with shops and high-rise office blocks. The Donauzentrum is Vienna’s biggest shopping mall.
