Food expensive . There was a lick in the window when it rain havey. But that was fix after i report it.

Review of Garraway hotel
A hotel that survive on it's location and nothing else. Worn down. A lift that works at times and believe it or not it will even take you to desired flor once in a while. Most staff was not service oriented and see guest as a disturbing factor in life.

Old hotel near to water front
Hotel is dated and requires significant investment to update facilities. Took an hour to get a burger from the kitchen.

OK place to stay in Downtown Roseau next to Ocean.
I have not stayed at this hotel for several year when it was much newer. As it is aging, it could use a little remodeling but because of its location just in front of where the Cruise ships dock and in the middle of Roseau I probably would stay there again. Staff has never been overly friendly but they get the job done. I had a much worse experience at the hotel across the street so I probably will be back again at this hotel. Actual price / Value is still good.

Disappointed!!!!
Room was not what we paid for. Ac did not work. Fan did not work. Bathroom sink had a leak. No hot water.was sent our confirmation but when got there had to stand an entire hour with them trying to locate my reservation just to be told it was missed...what a waste of money!!!

Hotel was relatively close to where I had to work. Hotel needs an upgrade but staff are friendly and helpful especially the morning lady at reception.

Dominica hotel
Hotel was dated but still nice. The one member of staff I met was lovely but it was only one night I stayed so hard to judge. Room was a good size and the bed was good. The hot water however was about as hot as a fat stripper in Vegas.

nice businessman's hotel
rooms were extremely clean and location is ideal as there are some wonderful restaurants a stone's throw away (2 minute walk away) such as desiderata restaurant, cartwheel restaurant and stone grill restaurant. didn't have any problems with air conditioning nor internet as other reviews complained about. Ask for a room with an ocean view

Worn hotel seen better days
Booked 3 rooms. No A/C. Dirty Bathroom. Front desk never advised of restaurant in hotel. Housekeeping (evidently ) checked on room next morning & left our door ajar with most of our valuables inside. No safe. Poor service at breakfast.

Quaint Getaway in City Center
Helpful staff, nice, pleasant neighborhood, good chefs, nice bartenders. Air conditioners need to be more powerful. No specific facilities/resources for children.

Fairly comfortable and close to the sea.
I was checked in quickly and made to feel welcome. The staff is very helpful and responds quickly to requests. My bed was comfortable and the room was clean with the basic amenities in place- kettle, iron and a fan.

This is a really good hotel for the money. Rooms are clean if a bit outdated. If cominig from the U.S., remember to pack your power converter.

Near government buildings
13-07-27 Garraway Hotel in Roseau is in the old town, across the street from the sea wall. Dominica Fisheries market is 1 block north. Goverment buildings are an easy walk. No chain fast food is nearby, but sole proprieter shops. When I return to Roseau, I will stay at the Garraway. Dominica is on the britiish standard electricity, 220 volt 50 cycle, so you will need to take an electrical travel set

Good example of a way overpriced island
This hotel, like all the others I have seen in Dominica, are way overpriced. On top of that the prices for lunch and dinner are way over the top: Eur 33 for a simple pork chop and a glass of wine and EUR 35 for a simple fish dish and a glass of wine, both without entree, desert or coffee and of very mediocre quality and presentation. I only recommend it because there are no better alternatives.

This is my second stay at the Garraway Hotel. It is convenient to downtown Roseau, the staff provides professional service. Each time I have gotten a room with a beautiful view. The rooms are spaceous and clean.

Basic hotel in good location
The rooms are a good size, and can be compared in amenities and decor to a standard budget chain hotel in the U.S. (Super 8, etc.) -- not particularly luxurious or attractive, but clean and comfortable. The location right on the bayfront is excellent. Having an office downstairs that guests can use for internet access during business hours is a nice perk too. The restaurant breakfast is not great, but passable. We had a pretty delicious dinner there one night.

Hotel pratique en centre ville
Le Garraway est situé non loin du terminal du ferry en centre ville donc pratique quand on voyage avec l'Express des iles. C'est un hôtel de ville, pas de piscine ou de plage à proximité mais pratique pour prendre les transports en commun. Il est donc pratique pour ceux qui ne veulent pas conduire à la Dominique.

Bekvämt och prisvärt hotell
Hotellet var i stort prisvärt dock la luftkonditioneringen av till andra natten Tyvärr finns inga balkonger eller uteplatser från rummet. Utsikten dock fin från rummet.

Emplacement parfait sur le port de Roseau
Nous avions sélectionné cet hotel pour une nuit à Roseau, après avoir fait la traversée depuis la Guadeloupe. Il est situé à 5 minutes à pied de la gare maritime, face à l'embarcadère des bateaux de croisiere, dans un périmètre très sécurisé en journée, au pied des petits marchés. Le personnel est très attentionné et se donne du mal pour satisfaire les clients

Das Hotel bietet nichts spezielles, ist aber gut in der Nähe des Zentrums gelegen und für 1 oder 2 Nächte bei Ankuft oder Abreise in Roseau zu empfehlen. Zimmer sind in Ordnung, geräumig und sauber. Restaurant haben wir nicht ausprobiert, da wir im Ort essen waren.

Nous avons note Une qualité dans les repas servis que ce soit en restaurant ou en snack mais dont le prix peut paraître élevé par rapport aux prix pratiques en Dominique. Sur l ensemble le prix du séjour reste élevé .
