“Extremeley Beautiful”
The hotel is simply gorgeous. Located right next to the sea and has a view of the magnificent Pearl Island. The resturatns in the hotel are excellent especially the steak house, and the service was extremely good and courteous. The bar has a beautiful patio with swiming pool and Pearl Island views. A Bit expensive on the liquor prices but i guess they are charging for the ambience and view.
“Good choice in Doha”
Clean, efficient hotel. Good location, not exactly in the city, but close by - only 25 minutes to the airport. The beach and swimming pools were great. Good restaurants. The limousine service is three times the cost of the local taxis, which are fine. The hotel will book a local taxi for you. An enjoyable holiday destination. Good for a break between flights. We recommend a desert safari with Arabian Adventures.
“Business & Resort Hotel”
Liked the hotel as it is situated just out of West Bay (where there is not much to do) but close to the pearl and cultural village. Also the property is both convenient for business travellers as well as for leisure as they have a beach, outdoor swimmingpool and beautifull gardens surrounding the hotel. Impressive lobby and very spacious F&B attrium.
“Beautiful facility”
I got the room at a pre-paid low rate. This was very good value. The hotel is in great condition and the the international staff provides friendly service. As expected wine and most food is expensive. There aren't many alternatives in the neighborhood as this property is a bit away from down town Doha. I would return to this hotel next time I am in the area.
“Hyatt but different”
As most of the buildings in Doha, the Grand Hyatt is not very attractive from outside: light beige/sand coloured. The entrance hall and the stairs down to the cafeteria look very heavy but clean and neat. The style is idiosyncratic. The private beach is nice and the flowers and palm tress in the garden let you soon forget the noisiness of the city itself. However, at the beach, a bit anoying is the staedy noise of the factory which is on the opposite bay. If you look for relaxation, the health club and spa area should meet your expectations. It is large and I could not think of anything what I missed in the spa area: Sauna, Steam room, infrared-light room, jacuzzi and indoor-swimmingpool. Different kind of treatments like massage etc. are available in a very indulging area. The Hyatt is approx. twenty min. far from the city by car. From and to the airport, depending on the traffic, you should plan thirty - fortyfive minutes. Depending on what you are looking for, the Hyatt could be your place for your stay in Doha. I would choose it again.
