The hotel looked very cleaned walking in. However we found Vaseline laying on the floor and that was not very pleasant having two 2 year old kids in the room. The other concern and discomfort was the fact that it was very humid in the room even with the cooler on it was still very humid and hot.
Every time I plan a trip to Disneyland, the Hilton of Anaheim is always the first hotel of consideration. If one is looking for a hotel that is in close proximity to both the convention center and Disneyland with great accommodation, then the Hilton of Anaheim is the hotel of choice.
Pros - Proximity to Disneyland, it is literally right across the street from the park entrances. Great for running back to the hotel for a quick nap or bite to eat, plus it's very helpful when you finish a long day at the parks and don't have to fear a long walk or drive back to the hotel. Also, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful - check-in was easy, and they quickly accommodated a couple small requests we had during our stay. The rooftop is also a great place to watch the fireworks if you're not still in the park.
Cons - No free wifi in the hotel, I heard a few guests complain about this during our stay. The rooms are fairly small and simple, but you're obviously not spending a lot of time there if you're going to the parks. The walls are a little thin as well, so noise can be an issue if some families are trying to turn in early while others are still coming back late from the parks.
Overall, we would stay here again for the price point we paid.
The Red Lion was a really luxury hotel. It was walking distance to disneyland. The overall cleanness of the hotel was perfect as well. Great room service, the staff was very kind as well. Would totally come back here. Recommend this hotel 100%
Staff was very prompt. The Disney shuttle was free and very convenient. We loved how the rooms were large and included a refrigerator. The bathrooms are on the small side and did not seem to have been updated.
We were only there for about 8 hours. The beds were comfortable, the staff was great and very helpful, the room had everything in it that you would need for a longer stay, microwave, safe, refrigerator, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, etc. When we return to the Los Angeles area we will stay there again.
Pocket Guide: Orange County Disneyland - Anaheim Hotels
Disneyland Resort looms large in Anaheim, also known for its divine baseball. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim play ball at Angel Stadium. West, in Buena Park, Knott’s Berry Farm is the area’s other major amusement park. Along the coast, crowds bask in the sun along Newport Beach’s boardwalk and historic pier. John Wayne Airport, Orange County’s gateway, is a popular alternative to the LA airport.
