“Good value for money hotel”

It is a good value for money hotel. Basic comfortable room. Hot shower. Comfy bed. All we needed for our weekent visit to see our daughter. Didn't eat at the hotel so couldn't comment on that.

“Wait for thr Tramways to be finished”

Hotel overall good but Dijon's City centre traffic is a nightmare because of the road/Tramways works started in 2010 and going on through 2013.

Area recommendations

at the moment stay in the outskirts (see above about traffic)

“A good place to stay.”

Hotel is good, unfortunately all the surrounding roads are being dug up at the moment, very confusing when trying to find the hotel. Good accomodation and we stayed in the same hotel chain in Nice as well. We'd stay again.

“Very satisfied.”

Happy with this hotel as it was right opposite the rail station and right next door to restaurants and bakeries. Very clean and comfortable so much so that we stayed an extra night. Dijon was a pleasant surprise, far exceeded out expectations. Good value for money, would go back there again, staff helpful.

“You can't go wrong with this hotel!”

“Value for money.”

This hotel is extremely convenient for the railway station, some of our party of 15 heard quite a lot of train movements during the night, I did not as my bedroom was on the side of the hotel furthest from the railway track. The hotel is also close to the historical, cultural and commercial centre of Dijon. The breakfast was good value and the bed was comfortable, although I would suggest that an additional pillow should be available. Very good value overall, which was the general concensus.

Traveller's tip

Dijon is beautifully placed for the exploration of Burgundy. It has terrific transport connections. Things to see: The Palace of the Great Dukes in a beautiful square. A magnificent covered and open air market. Beautiful street architecture. Very fine and interesting churches. An excellent range of eateries, catering for all pockets and tastes. A good range of bookshops and even a music shop, Harmonia Mundi. Great city!

“Avis pas favorable”

Au milieu des travaux du tramway (fin des travaux devant la chambre à 20h30) Pas de garage, donc parking de la gare et traversée des travaux avec les bagages. Son de la télévision "ondulant", variant sans cesse de très bas à bas (inaudible avec les travaux) Téléphone dans le même état d'où challenge pour commander le petit déjeuner. Chasse d'eau coulant toute la nuit, résolution du problème par boule Quiès. Au restaurant, pas possibilité de prendre seulement le plat du menu qui avait l'air tentant; entrée et dessert obligatoire. Sinon plat à la carte.

“Campanile Dijon Centre: très proche de tous les services”

Première venue de notre vie à Dijon pour le concert de Patti SMITH à La Vapeur. L'hôtel est idéalement placé, en face de la gare, de l'office de tourisme, des commerces et lignes de bus que nous avons prises pour aller au concert. De plus le tramway en construction va passer devant l'hôtel.

Nous avons fait la visite guidée du Centre Historique de DIJON qui est somptueux; Les amateurs d'histoire seront servis.

Getting there

Pour aller à La Vapeur : prendre le 1 ou le 3 jusqu'au Théatre puis le 6 en direction du ZENITH.

“(+) Gare à 100 m / (-) Hôtel vieillot”

L'hôtel est très bien placé, le personnel est accueillant, les draps propres, le lit confortable, le wifi fonctionne bien, le petit déjeuner correct. Les travaux du tram ne vont pas durer et ensuite, l'hôtel sera idéalement au terminus des lignes. La chambre est suffisamment insonorisées pour ne pas entendre la gare. Mais le style Campanile approximatif est toujours là. Un coup de peinture, un changement de moquette, un effort sur la déco seraient nécessaires. La chambre est petite, sans doute parce que 2 lits en 90 occupent trop d'espace ! Ce n'est pas le premier Campanile que je trouve un peu juste pour le prix demandé. Un hôtel correct pour voyageur de commerce pas trop exigeant !
