“Very Good Hotel for Stopover”
We stayed here as a stopover to Provence for our summer holiday. Warm welcome from reception staff, the hotel has a free car parking, the rooms are modern with comfortable beds and have air conditioning, which were the most important points for us. Breakfast is ok. Also there is a shopping mall next to the hotel where you can buy some basic stuff if you are travelling down to Provence. There are also plenty of restaurants in there. The hotel is overall very good. The only negative point I would make about the hotel is the pricing policy. We were a group of 5 and I had to book two rooms, one for two adults two kids and another room for one adult, which was ok. However, the price for all types of rooms are exactly the same. I would expect the hotel to reduce the price for the room one person staying.
“very disappointing.”
very disappointing. no mention of extensive road works. old and smelly hotel. mould in bathroom. would have expected better from the Holiday inn group
“Great place to stay in Dijon...”
This was a great place to stay. The room was lovely, in fact nicer than some 4* hotels we've stayed in. We used the hotel as an overnight stop en route and it was fantastic, but there was also a great indoor pool complete with water slides which our children were desperate to try out! The buffet breakfast included in our tariff was fine and served right through until 11 am - Great if you need a lie-in before the next leg of your journey.
“Very good stop-off between Med and Calais”
Not the easiest hotel in the world to find (but then none of them have been in France); however, the welcome was very very friendly with excellent spoken English - turns out the receptionist was actually Polish and not French hence the friendliness towards the English!! Good hotel, good facilities, ample and plentiful breakfast - would def stop there again (although wouldn't recommend France!) were I to be travelling between the Med and Calais!
“Hotel let down by its resturant”
The hotel was good but the food at the restaurant needs to improve and was the most disappointing part of the stay.. The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. We were provided with a cot for our son at no additional cost. This was really appreciated. The only thing really letting the hotel down is the restaurant. In the morning breakfast my wife requested some tea and was given a pot f hot water but with no tea bag. Breakfast was also limited. At the price being paid per night, I would have expected a better in house restaurant especially in light of the price they charged. We chose two of the most expensive main courses and were not impressed with either. On the second stay we wanted to eat out but as it was the 1st May and a national holiday we had no choice but to eat at the restaurant.
“Decent stay in Dijon”
I traveled to Dijon with my 12yo daughter and a friend. We had a car so getting to this hotel was very easy. We knew that the adjacent shopping center (and McDonalds) would be closed on Sunday, but the perk ended up being free parking in the city center, so we skipped taking the bus that leaves from the hotel. Parking at this hotel is free as well, and that was great. Not great was the fire alarm that went off for a good twenty minutes until they figured there was no fire and turned it off. In the mean time a lot of the guests of the hotel had come out and taken to the stairs to evacuate. In the early morning I was awakened by a recurrent beeping sound coming from outside that lasted for a few hours. It might have been the bus in the parking lot below us, but it was VERY annoying, and I wished I had brought ear plugs! The lady at the front desk could not produce an iron when asked for one, and when asked what the weather would be the following day she said "Same as today". We're still laughing about that one! Overall the hotel is good value for the $$, and I'm sure the noise was just a coincidence, but I wish it had been quieter!
“Breakfast!”
The Hotel in its self was fab and if you have kids there is a great pool with slides and waves etc... brilliant fun. Dont both with the breakfast in the hotel as its really not worth the money it was rubbish.
“Holiday Inn Digione”
