We love this hotel. We have stayed 5 times now and each time we are truly amazed by the staff. Marco in Customer Service is our favorite! We had a problem one night with a very noisy, inconsiderate neighbor (the first time ever) and we call Marco and he was willing to change our room immediately. We are always very pleased.
The hotel staff went out of their way to help me. I was having trouble getting WiFi to work in my room and someone from the tech department worked for hours fixing it for me. And he didn't want to take a tip! Similarly, staff from housekeeping and the front desk were equally as lovely. The hotel itself is beautiful and my rooms was extremely well designed with an eye toward function and comfort. The hotel restaurants serve really quality cuisine as well.
Nice hotel and not as busy as others in diamanté. Breakfast was good but limited other options particularly for kids. Getting to the hotel is not ideal as there is are security checkpoints and very slow staff who don't care if they keep you waiting for ridiculous amounts of time. Very unusual that the hotel did not have a booklet in the room explaining any of its services or facilities or with any information on Acapulco thus left to figure out restaurant hours, pool times, internet on my own. Not sure how you order room service without a menu but front desk staff could only provide info on the spa. Beach was pretty empty, likely due to the armed guard kicking non guests off that part of the beach. Pools were nice but if you have mobility issues there are many stairs and it would not be a fun experience. Due to limited kids food choices, asked about recommendations from front desk only to be directed to another restaurant in another hotel that was closed at lunch - not helpful.
It's a nice but modest hotel. Small, but nice pool... parking available; great location (although no beach access); large but dated rooms with kitchen and noisy A/C. I guess this hotel would be great for people that will not remain there, but rather will go out to the beach, clubs, etc. It's not a "resort" in any way, but it's a nice, pleasant, very cheap hotel in Acapulco's newest and nicest area.
With its upmarket resorts, Diamente—or Diamond—lives up to its name. Beaches here tend to be less crowded than those on Acapulco Bay. Locals favor Revolcadero and Barra Vieja beach, where diners feast on grilled snapper and seafood prepared in beachside huts. Near the airport, water lilies bloom in the mangroves of Tres Palos Lagoon (Laguna de Tres Palos), a haven for egrets and flamingos.
